Storybook Cottage in tranquil location close to Emerald.

Pretty storybook cottage very roomy with quality inclusions set on 2 acres of garden surrounded by other large properties, nature and birdsong. The cottage is set away from the main house so that you have complete privacy. We are in a quiet location yet only 10 minutes drive from Emerald Township where the famous Puffing Billy Steam Train is located.
Carramar cottage contains a Gas Log fire, Queen size Bed, Large shower and full kitchen. Peace and Quiet. Feels like country but close to town. Emerald is a vibrant town with plenty amenities including cafes, bars, gift and clothing shops as well as chemists, banks and post office. Be sure to book at least one day in advance.

Peaceful getaway
The cottage was everything we wanted. We expected the weather to be cold and rainy, so having a spacious cottage with a gas log fire as well as ducted heating was really wonderful. There was also a wide variety of books and DVD's. The cottage was the cleanest we've ever been to and just so peaceful and relaxing. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Piece of paradise
Jenny was a great host who communicated everything I needed well in advance. Carramar cottage is picture perfect on a hill in a peaceful rural area. The cottage has all the amenities you need, is spotlessly clean, cosy and warm with stunning views of the gardens and beyond. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom is very dark and quiet at night giving me restful sleep each night. It was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle and I will definitely stay again.

Delightful place to stay for our cold autumn wedding anniversary weekend. Lovely garden setting outside, cozily warm and perfectly clean inside. Close to pretty Emerald Lake Park from where we set off to walk to Cockatoo. Brunch at Stick & Stones is highly recommended.

This place is fantastic Jenny has done a great job with the cottage, nothing better than when you go to a place and enter with the entire place being spotlessly clean which gives you a good feeling inside, And therefore sets a relaxed feeling to sit back and enjoy. Has everything you could ask for and is very peaceful it’s was really nice to look out the windows and see a lot of autumn colour the garden has a really nice outlook. Well done Jenny for going above and beyond to make sure your guests feel happy and relaxed and highly recommended you won’t be disappointed!!

I am a wordsmith by trade, but I can’t find the words to properly express our wonderful, wonder-filled stay at Carramar Cottage in Avonsleigh. The cottage is designed perfectly for a couple. Our host has thought of every detail, even equipping the kitchen with a citrus zester, which is a rare find. The house is charming, it has every amenity imaginable. The lot is really a paradise, nestled in the Dardenong Ranges it is secluded and private even though the host lives 200 feet away. The morning is welcomed by a chorus of birds who provide entertainment throughout the day. Near dusk you will see a variety of wildlife around the cottage and you will see the magnificent sunsets every day. All of this just a handful of miles from Emerald, a charming community with cafes, dinners and restaurants offering every conceivable tour of cuisine. While this is all beyond beautiful, the best part of the stay is a visit from the host who can give you a history of the property and a good sense of the activities available in close proximity to Avonsleigh. Bring your hiking boots, there are hundreds of trails from easy flat tracks to challenging climbs, all in the magnificent forests in the area. If you want to experience the city, Melbourne is only an hour or so away. The only regret we had was that we only stayed for a week. We knew from the moment that we arrived that we had found Paradise and we were right. Many thanks to our hosts.

We had a lovely stay here in Avonsleigh. All site seeing destinations are less than 20min drive. We enjoyed Miss Marples Tea Rooms and the Geppetto ToyShop both in Sassafras. The hosts are always available for anything you need. The cottage was well set up for couples and Woolworths is ten minutes away for any supplies.

I was getting married over the two days we had booked in, super exciting time but also slightly nervous that everything comes together on the day… The property was amazing upon arrival, the smells you get from the surrounding flora was relaxing. Inside and out the little house was immaculate and homely. Couldn’t have ask for a nicer place for our wedding experience/stay than this.
