The Buckingham
We stay here often because it’s always clean , comfortable and friendly. This time they were in a state of refurbishment and the Restaurants were closed but we found a lovely fish and chippery just around the corner. The service at the motel didn’t disappoint.

The hotel is set back from the busy highway so heard no traffic noise at all. Just over a 5 minute walk to the Highett station which has great train service to the city in just over 30 minutes. Woolworths and good local shops opposite the station. 15 minute walk to the Southland mall which has all the shops you could wish for. Room was a good size, stayed 5 nights and slept well throughout.

Booked on the fact of the brand name always good standard in uk and abroad not here very poor room facilities closed down over Christmas which I found to be poor pool area wasn't fit for use really. Unfortunately this place was a let down from the motel we stayed in Chiltern. The room was very, very compact for two people. The room was not cleaned properly. There was construction works going on & this was not disclosed before we booked. Also payment was to be made on registration but this was not the case. Very disappointed with both the accommodation & Expedia.

This hotel is under construction. (as of January 2025, looks like long term). Office moved to a room temporarily. Construction noise begins at 7 am. It is right on a busy road. Train nearby. Staff are friendly but the hotel is older and obviously needs an ungrade. Restaurant is closed.

Awesome!
It was a newly renovated room, they are still renovating the outside. Can park car and easy to call uber or head to Highett station. Clean and nice! The aircon is a new Mitsubishi with cold and warm functions. Lovely hotel!
