Secluded 5 bedroom home on 5 acres! 3 miles to the heart of Manchester Center!

Come enjoy a peaceful Vermont get away! This home is set on 5 acres in Manchester Center, Vermont. It is surrounded by White birch trees so we named it Birch Valley. We purchased this home in June 2017 and have put a lot of time and effort into making this a home away from home for anyone. Just 7 miles (11 minutes) from the Vermont Summer Festival. We are 15 minutes to Bromley resort an 25 minutes to Stratton. The property has an easy access paved driveway and plenty of parking for large vehicles.

There are mountain views from the back and the front of Birch Valley!
This home is 3 Minutes to the heart of Manchester and 5 Minutes to the heart of Dorset.
No Pets allowed. Our family has allergies and can't chance any pets. If you're interested in booking this house please send us a request include the dates and times you'd be interested in, as well as a little about your family/ group.

The open floor plan includes a large dining room, great room, loft and a grand kitchen. This space allows for large groups to congregate with viewing access to all three areas. The spiral staircase up to the loft is great to hang out in the futons and enjoy the mountain view through the two skylights. The wood burning stove installed in 2017 is wonderful to enjoy and visible from the kitchen, eating area, loft and main great room.
Birch Valley has mountain views from almost every room in the house. There are many beautiful spot to sit outside on the front balcony or the back 30' deck.
We installed new heat/air conditioning through out the house in December 2017. Each bedroom has its own A/C & heat control.
Five bedrooms includes sleeping for eleven people.
The top floor includes Three bedrooms-
The Equinox Master suite with a King bed includes a private bath.
The Stratton bedroom and the Bromley bedroom both have a queen bed. They share the full bath in the same hallway.

On the main level has 2 bedrooms. There is a full bathroom for these two bedrooms to share.
-The Battenkill bedroom is very spacious with a queen bed and one extra long twin.
-The Mt Aeolus bedroom is the fifth bedroom with two twin beds.


In the winter time enjoy snowboarding and skiing at three areas Bromley, Stratton and Magic mountain. In the summer close by is the Dorset Quarry and Vermont summer festival.
Local year - round attractions include gourmet restaurants and cozy coffee shops within minutes, exceptional art galleries and outstanding musical performances and of course Hildene (Robert Todd Lincoln's summer home).
We are 4 minutes from The Equinox hotel. Don't miss the award-winning Northshire Bookstore (3+ floors, thousands of books and gifts) in Manchester and enjoy fabulous shopping at the Manchester outlets, local country shops and charming little shops!

The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig, crock pot, blender, toaster, mixer, coffee pot, microwave, a gas stove, dishwasher and two electric ovens. Plenty of counter space for the gourmet cook.

You can enjoy the Television with basic cable and of course free WiFi from all over the property.

Enjoy relaxing on the 36’ deck with mountain views. Your welcome to try out the new BBQ. Or play a game of football in the field. there is a fire pit away from the house for guests to enjoy.
Our driveway is easy to drive large vehicles or trailers and easy to turn around . In snow there are perfect hills to sleigh ride on. Cycle right out of the driveway for a wonderful ride and view of the surrounding mountains.

Our huge pond is low in late summer through October. Other times of the year it is very full and breathtaking. Sit on the balcony or front porch enjoy watching the wildlife and the crystal clear water in the pond. This private get away is peaceful and tranquil.

Wonderful Weekend
A group of 10 adults enjoyed a wonderful fall weekend at this house. The house is as described and is in a convenient location to restaurants, shopping, and other sites. The property surrounding the house is pretty with a big deck to enjoy outdoors. The house is very clean and well stocked with plenty of large windows for great natural light. The 10 of us had plenty of room for sleeping and relaxing and we enjoyed using the kitchen and sitting area for one of the nights that we stayed in for a birthday celebration. Communication with the owner was immediate and always helpful. We had no issues while staying at the house and I will stay there again if back in that area.

This was our 2nd stay and it was as successful as the 1st stay. This property is very clean and the house and amenities are perfect for our large family gathering. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a family meal! We are already planning our next visit. Our family loves Manchester and this location is perfect!

Wonderful Wedding Weekend
Our family stayed for four nights over the weekend of our son's wedding and it was wonderful! Lots of open space inside and out to stretch out and relax as well share together-time. The shaded area of the grounds was wonderful for the firepit at night as well as taking groomsmen photos the day of the wedding (at The Old Gray Barn in Dorset). Great stay!

Friends weekend
The property was perfect. We had four couples in town for another friends 60th birthday celebration. We all enjoyed are stay. The beds were all comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed many coffee and wine time on the back deck and front deck as well. Location was very convenient to all our activities (golf at The Equinox and party at Frost Moon Mountain). The house was very clean. Shannon was super easy to reach and was very quick to respond anytime we reached out. You will not be disappointed if you book a stay at Birch Hill.

Wonderful house!!!
Beautiful house, well-maintained and kept immaculately clean. It Is very spacious and the individual bedrooms are very private. The great room is a fantastic space for gathering. The house is well equipped in all ways. Plenty of clean linens and towels, extra bedding, comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen with every type of cooking tool and basic pantry items that we needed plus much more. The large crock pot was very useful. Each bedroom is individually climate controlled, including a/c, which was very accommodating for a group of 5 individuals with varying temperature preferences. Plenty of hot water. Sitting out on the front and rear decks was peaceful and relaxing with the beautiful landscape and views! The property is conveniently located just a few minutes from the charming town of Manchester. We enjoyed some very good nearby restaurants, beautiful hiking spots, and shopping. Hildene is also nearby and was quite impressive. The owners were extremely responsive to questions, and a pleasure to deal with! Would gladly visit this property again in the future!

We were 7 adults and young adults. Very comfortable space, good beds, plenty of room to be alone or together. Family room is a natural hangout spot. House was well equipped with kitchen stuff, towels, etc. Town of Manchester is lively, and the house is well located to explore by car.

Excellent ski house with plenty of room
We loved our stay! There was something for everyone. We went shopping in Manchester and skiing at Stratton. The weather wasn't great but there was so much to do in the area. The actual home was spotlessly clean. We have been renting homes for 15 years and this was the cleanest and most well stocked. The kitchen had everything you could need and looked like new items not some mix bag of items cast off from other homes. We make and/or bring all our meals due to food allergies, so we need a great kitchen well stocked. The bedrooms were all spacious and even better than described with nice white linens and clean bedspreads and blankets. With multiple gathering rooms - loft, basement, living room and wii game room our large 2 family gathering was happy to gather together and be apart. We loved the house and hope to stay there again.

Great Manchester get away
Our family has been gathering annually in Manchester for over 25 years. This was a great trip in part due to the house and the host. I like to cook and the kitchen is great! The layout is open and inviting and allowed us all to enjoy our time together. We are already planning to stay again!

Presidents Week Vacation
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. Views from every room. Large dinner table, service for 12, stacked pantry and linen closet. Having 2 sitting areas worked well for us, one for the kids and one for the adults. Allergy free home was key since my granddaughter has allergies to pets. Lots of outdoor fun! Relaxing!

A great getaway
The house is located 5 minutes to downtown Manchester on a beautiful private lot. The kitchen is well stocked and the house was spacious enough to accommodate our two families (and more!) without feeling as if we were crowded and on top of one another. The gas burning stove was really lovely. Shannon was so wonderful to deal with. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Best location for our book club group
We were a group of 10, 4 couples and 2 singles. The house was perfect with the 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Plenty of space for both gathering for book discussions and spreading out when people wanted to be on their own. A front balcony and back deck were perfect for morning coffee and evening meals. We felt like it was a piece of heaven made just for us. The kitchen was large enough to accommodate all of our 'master' chefs at once. The house was well stocked with entertainment items, many of which we didn't have a chance to use. Great food and hiking nearby. Between farmer's markets, Norman Rockwell exhibit, Hildene, hiking and the amazing Northridge book store, we were never short of things to do in the area. I highly recommend this property.
