We invite you to explore the historical colonial city of Granada from the comfortable and central base of Tesoro Dorado. Our home is a colonial-style house with a central, indoor pool, open to the sky. You enter the house through arched doorways, into a large, high-ceilinged living room. The living room has comfortable seating and a 50 inch Smart TV.
The pool side dining room and well-appointed kitchen are open and bright, and allow visitors to cook and enjoy meals together. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a full-sized fridge, 6 burner gas stove with oven, microwave, toaster, blender, French Press and drip coffee maker. We have a full set of pot and pans, dishes, silverware and many other accessories to make cooking a breeze. There is a water filter at the kitchen faucet, providing safe water for drinking and cooking.
The pool is in the center of the house and is open to the sky. It is about 6 feet deep and features a large stairway for easy entry. A private and refreshing pool is a must-have amenity while visiting the hot city of Granada. Please note, there is no fence around the pool and other than the stairs, there is no shallow area. Pool towels and beach balls are provided.
Tesoro Dorado has 3 air-conditioned, spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and shower. The large bedroom on the main floor features a king size bed with memory-foam mattress topper, as well as a single bed and TV. The upstairs bedrooms have a king-sized bed, and a double bed in the largest room and a queen bed in the other.
The upstairs level has a sitting area that overlooks the pool and a desk for work, if needed. The wireless mesh internet system (3 routers) ensures that the wifi is accessible in all areas of the house. A spiral staircase leads to the covered balcony with amazing views of Mombacho volcano and the iconic Granada Cathedral of Parque Central, while being cooled by the breeze above the rooftops.
The large size of Tesoro Dorado allows for families to spread out in different areas, or to come together in the dining and living rooms. The colonial style of open area in the center allows the home to be bright and airy. Because of this open aspect of colonial homes, please note that it is impossible to keep all dust, noise and bugs out of the house.

Many popular restaurants are less than a five minute walk, including Kathy´s Waffle House, The Garden Cafe, Pita Pita, Pan de Vida and Cafe de Arte.
Also within walking distance are Parque Central and the beautiful Granada Cathedral. One can hire a horse-drawn cab for a tour around town or climb the historic Cathedral to see a 360 degree view of the area. There are many restaurants, bars, coffee shops and street vendors along the way.
Many attractions are within a short taxi ride ( we can provide contact info for reliable drivers). Laguna de Apoyo is a thermally heated crater lake and is only a few kilometers away from Granada. Lake Nicaragua has many small islands and one can tour the Isletas by boat or kayak.
