This vacation rental property boasts the ultimate vacation get-a-way, if you are ready to escape the busy beaches of Cabo San Lucas and are looking for something in between San Jose Del Cabo or La Paz. Located in beautiful Los Barriles, Baja California Sur, the Bahia las Palmas is a 19 mile curved section of shoreline along the Gulf of California located on the East Cape. It is known for the beauty of its landscapes and the many different marine species that thrive in this location. The beaches are white and sandy and overlook the Sea of Cortez. It's mostly very quiet, and occasionally you will see foot traffic, horses, maybe a cow or two, and most likely ATV traffic go by. It is situated along Highway 1, approx. 40 miles north of San José del Cabo airport and 65 miles south of La Paz, which is fully paved right up to the condo parking lot. The most incredible sunrises and sunsets you will ever experience, this vacation location will not disappoint! There is something for all to explore. Snorkeling right off the patio on the beach, kayaking, windsurfing, kite surfing, hiking, biking, quad riding, or whatever you would like to arrange awaits you. The main town for shopping and dining is within walking distance of this location. Pictures are accurate; while the older fixtures and decor are not “on trend” they are functional and clean and at this price, who cares. AC in both living room and bedroom worked very well, and shower had strong water pressure and range of temps. Good supply of linens (including beach towels), and portable beach chairs and umbrella if you want to drive elsewhere. Washer-dryer was convenient to pack light. Thick walls meant minimal noise from neighbors.Patio is a stunner - both for sunrise (all too easy to experience for these east coasters…) and sunset, and watching all the different avian / reptilian / bovine visitors. Pool was well maintained and comfortable temp for floating during our July stay (not sure if it’s heated or not, but unnecessary in summer). Snorkeling right in front of the property is a treat, and a few minutes’ walk either direction gets you to water that’s clear from the rocks.Only note of caution was that the property’s WiFi barely reached indoors (1 bar comes and goes if you’re on the couch, doesn’t reach kitchen table or bedroom at all), though great at the front of the deck, due to the placement of the router at the corner of the patio. Cell service was also a bit limited the further inside you went. No problem for a short vacation, but if you’re planning on being on the laptop inside at all, you might be frustrated.Great communication with Erika throughout. Their unit is well equipped and very comfortable. There is a nice view of the sea and beach below. We didn’t get a chance to experience it, but a neighbor told us the snorkeling in front of the unit is excellent (and snorkeling gear is provided in the unit). There also were adequate towels and linens available and a stackable washer dryer. A full size fridge and we’ll equipped kitchen was also appreciated. Erika was very communicative, quick to respond, and helpful. We would love to stay with them again on a future visit. ##### John S. Honestly, we loved our stay here, not only because we were the only couple staying in the whole complex but this particular condo provides everything you need. It was clean and comfortable and after a long travel day we really appreciated the easy access with the lock code on the door, we felt very safe with the security. We made friends with the two iquanas that sun themselves on the patio and in the grill near the pool and yes, they LOVE lettuce and will eat it out of your hand with a gentle approach! The view is stunning and again, we were amazed at how well stocked with good frying pans and great steak knives, just to name a couple of items that are usually not in such great condition at other places. We have stayed at 3 different condos in this complex, and this one was our favorite. Everything you might need, and then some, was available here, including nice beach chairs, snorkeling equipment (though we had our own), and even kayaks.
