One of Kentucky Local Rentals prized properties, JW’s Loft. Beautifully remodeled duplex home built in 1914 with Equestrian Motif is the perfect atmosphere for your Lexington stay. Located in one of Lexington's most desirable and stylish neighborhoods, Mentelle Park, and adjacent to Chevy Chase and Kenwick. Enjoy Lexington like a local in this quaint spot near downtown, UK campus, Kroger Field, Keeneland, Rupp Arena, and a short drive to the Kentucky Horse Park.

JW’s Loft is a 2 level, 1 bedroom with loft, 1 full bath property with room for 4 people to sleep comfortably. The split level floor plan offers a large kitchen, breakfast nook, full bathroom, Washer, Dyer and large Living Room on the first floor. The second floor offers a spacious loft with 2 Twin beds and a closed queen sized bedroom with large guest closet.

Wonderful covered front porch, large back deck with grill and spacious back yard offer tons of outdoor entertaining. Picket fence enclosure is perfect for letting your pet off the leash to run around.Off street parking for 1 vehicle is provided behind the house. Plenty of street parking in front of the property. Kathy’s Place is ideal for UK sporting events, Keeneland Races, Horse Park Eventing, and Lexington's Town Branch is on the Official Bourbon Trail.

Owners and Property Manager live nearby and are readily available. Kentucky Local Rentals hosts multiple vacation rentals in the greater Lexington area and are ready to give you a Kentucky Experience you wont forget. The neighborhood surrounding JW’s Loft is absolutely lovely and very community and locally driven. Walking around the area is inspiring; the architecture and preservation is beautiful! Located a block from Ashland: Henry Clay's Estate which was established in 1811 and is a beautiful preserve of historic property and nature. Tons of shopping, restaurants and bars in Chevy Chase, Downtown and the Warehouse Block. Grocery, liquor store, drug store all within a mile. Lextran picks up nearby and has frequent scheduled runs to downtown and Keeneland Race Track. Location is about an $8 Uber/Lyft to downtown/Rupp Arena.

Home away from home.

My husband and I plus our two dogs stayed here for 10 weeks. We were in between homes. This is a simple home. But it was clean and comfortable. It’s an older home. Some of the furniture is a little worn. Could use an overall redo. But all in all it was very welcoming and comfortable. The location of the house couldn’t be better. It was wonderful to get to know Lexington. Walking distance to at least a half a dozen restaurants. If you’re interested in visiting UK it’s just a stones throw away, I would definitely recommend this house if you’re interested in staying in downtown Lexington. It’s in an historical area surrounded by beautiful homes. Very walkable and safe. The stairs going upstairs are rather steep. So if you have mobility issues, this home may not be the best for you. It is a duplex. The other side is one story . Plenty of street parking plus you get a parking spot in the back of the house. We will miss this little house.

It was a bit tight for three adults. The bedroom is spacious. The two twin beds are right outside the bedroom door. Probably a better fit for a couple with kids. Super service and location.

Cozy get away

This was perfect size for us— we felt very welcomed. It had everything we needed although we never found the dishwasher, although the instructions on how to use it in the thorough welcome book were clear. If you’ll have us back, we look forward to a return visit.

Lovely home away from home

The house is adorable. The furnishings are super comfortable and very well kept, lovely art and decor. The little yard was a perfect spot for an afternoon read and relaxing. The neighborhood is also beautiful. Lovely big ol Kentucky homes along a tree lined street that felt very safe, at all hours. It was a wonderful stay and I recommend it to everyone.

Convenient Location

Small and quaint location. AC upstairs was not enough for the summer KY heat. 2 Bedrooms more appropriate description is one bedroom and a loft. Stairs are pretty steep and wood, so it would be advisable to bring a crate or a way to keep dogs downstairs if your are traveling with them. Owner/property manager were very responsive to all inquiries.

JW's Loft Special in every way!

Our two weeks staying at JW's Loft was made special the moment we arrived. Lights on, music playing on TV and treats in a bowl to snack on while we unpack made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. Everything was neat and tidy. Living room was so enjoyable to relax and watch TV in the evening. The bedroom was very cozy as well. We cooked all are meals at the house and enjoyed grilling several evening's. We look forward to coming back the next time we are here for a horse show. Thanks for sharing your special little house with us Tim and Diane

Very pleased with the overall accommodations and the location. I was able to travel with my dogs so that was a relief and I would advise if you do have a dog to bring a crate because bedrooms are upstairs and it is easier just to keep them on the lower level. We did this and it made for a nice visit for all. One recommendation is that the bed although comfortable did squeak so a little WD 90 would be helpful for the next guest.

Very cute - felt like home.

Loved this little place with its faux fire place and comfortable seating in the living room. We cooked every night we were there and the grocery store was very close. Brew pubs, restaurants, and nightly sights are also only a couple of miles from this little place. We felt safe and even walked to dinner one night. I have two complaints - there wasn't enough cookware to make a gourmet meal and the upstairs bed squeaked terribly! My daughter and I slept in the upstairs queen bed and any little movement sent the springs into action - so noisy it woke both of us up throughout the night. The final night we ended up sleeping on the couch downstairs. Other than that - it was a super place and we would probably stay there again.
