3-Amazing! Sunnylands Center & Gardens first opened to the public in March 2012. Upon entering the 15-acre site, a winding driveway takes visitors through a desert art garden to the glass facade of Sunnylands Center. The spacious, contemporary building houses a rotating art exhibition, cafe, gift shop, and multimedia offerings that detail the history of Sunnylands and its founders, Walter and Leonore Annenberg.

Our number one goal is that you have a great time! PGA West is one of the last nice gated communities in the Desert that allows rentals of less than 30 days. Let's keep it that way.
8 adults MAX, no noise outside after 10pm. The minimum age for responsible renter is 30. 3 cars MAX.
The pool heat is on-demand, meaning we do not heat it when it's not in use or when no guests are staying. It heats up about 3 degrees per hour and it can get down into the 60's during the winter so if you want it heated upon your arrival please keep that in mind and notify us. October Through the end of May the charge is $100/day if pool heating is paid upfront for every day of the stay or $125/day if not. Spa only heating is $40/day if prepaid for the entire stay and $70/day if not. Most resorts heat pools into the low 80's we allow guests that pay for pool heat to heat pool to the mid-80's and spas as high as they like. Please keep in mind, mid-winter, larger pools will have a hard time even reaching mid-80's, pool temperature is not guaranteed, however, generally low to mid 80's is common, even mid-winter. For longer term stays the owner will pay the first $300/month of gas and electricity, for longer stays anything over $300 will be paid by the tenant.
During the colder months, the pool and spa cannot be efficiently heated at the same time. It's best to heat the pool to the desired temp, then start heating the spa about 45 minutes prior to use. If you elect to pay for pool heat, you can message us 24 hours prior to arrival to start heating the pool. We recommend that you download the app and control the temperature yourself upon arrival.

The desert has extreme temperatures, including sustained daytime temperatures of over 100 degrees. With such high temperatures, ACs can struggle to cool homes by more than 25 degrees. Boatman bugs are common in pools with biologically safe water. If food is left out, ants will come, and if doors are left open, flies will come.
These are a part of life in the desert and not grounds for a refund.
We use the top pest control, pool cleaners, and home cleaners in the area. Please contact us if you have an issue, and we will do our best to assist.
When it's windy, a perfectly clean pool will not remain perfectly clean for long
Cancellation policy and procedures
Our cancellation policy is a 100% refund for cancellations at least 60 days in advance. Guest is charged 50% 59 days prior to arrival. 50% refund for cancellations at least 30 days in advance. Guest is charged the remaining 50% balance 29 days prior to arrival. Cleaning fee refund only for cancellations within 30 days.
Our goal is to keep our prices as competitive as possible, in order to keep them competitive it's important that we avoid the losses that come from cancellations.
Owners of these properties depend on the income and last-minute cancellations result in lost revenue through vacancy and lower prices.
For those that don't like the risk that comes with cancellation policies, we strongly recommend you look into travel insurance.

If you didn't purchase the travel insurance offered, you will likely not get any refund.
To ask for an exception to our policy you must first cancel your reservation by sending us an email, or a text message. Exceptions are up to individual owners and are very rare. Your best chance is to ask for a credit to be used for a booking for the same property.
The credit can to be used within the window you cancelled. Ie. If you cancel 3 days before your stay and the owners payout is $4500, you didn't purchase travel insurance you may ask for a credit to be used to reserve the same property no more than 3 days before the drag you want to use the credit for.
Example request.
"I had to cancel because my kids are sick. I didn't purchase the recommended travel insurance. My stay is 3 days away. I'm requesting a credit for the owner payout amount to be used to reserve the same property 3 days before our stay. I.e, we want to stay August 23rd so I will make a request on August 20th if the unit is still available.
Thanks."
We will share this with the owner and encourage them to allow us to agree.
No exceptions will be made if the process is not followed.

This property can be rented to people with pet allergies any and all animals must be disclosed and approved by the owners.
The minimum age for a responsible renter is 25.
House Rules:
1) No outside noise above a whisper after 10 pm
2) No outside music at anytime.
3) No inside music that can be heard outside at anytime.
4) Please remember that you must display your parking pass on your dash where it's easily visible.
5) We pay for trash service to pick the trash up at the side of the home, please do not take it to the street. If you do you will be subject to fines from the HOA.
6) PGA West rules, please keep the garage doors shut unless directly moving vehicles in or out.
7) There is a limit of 4 overnight vehicles per house and the HOA is against street parking unless absolutely necessary. Do not park in front of mail boxes or fire hydrants. No trailers, no oversized vans ie Sprinter vans or similar models are not allowed.
If you have more than 3 cars you need to park at least 1 in the garage overnight, up to 2 cars can fit in the garage.
8) The golf course is private property, not a common area. The HOA views people that have not checked in at the club house to golf as trespassers.
9) Our permit only allows for the number of guests we market the property for and your reservation only allows for the number of guests on your reservation. You must notify us of any visitors, if you have more people than are on the reservation at the home and security is called you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
10) Noise, Absolutely NO outside music allowed. No inside music that can be heard outside. Please move inside after 10 PM to avoid disturbing the neighbors or only talk in quiet voices - City of La Quinta Executive order 9. Noise from inside the home can also not be heard by the neighbors before 1 pm or after 10 pm or it will also be subject to a fine. Between 1 pm and 10 pm, general noise needs to remain at a reasonable level that doesn't disturb the neighbors.
While this will not apply to 99% of you If security comes a citation and fine will be issued and you will be responsible to pay. If security comes a second time you have to leave the home and no refund for the remaining days of your reservation will be provided, in addition, you will be responsible for any fines and damage caused. If you have any concerns about this, please get in touch with us.
In addition to the stated cancellation policy, any credit/debit card processing fees will be deducted from the cancellation refund if a credit/debit card is used, generally around 3%.
Signature still has some homes under construction, so please note that there may be construction in the surrounding areas during that day.
