For instance, we were pleasantly suprised to see a full size bunk bed, but no recliner or gas fire pit outside(which was no big deal at all just something we noticed) Property and Porta-potty were clean. « Our group stayed here after a larger family reunion at Trout Lodge, YMCA. The place was great with something to do for everyone. Having a private, CLEAN pool for the family is amazing. We hiked around and boated around the lake, made s’mores by a campfire, played pool and darts and board games and grilled meals. This house lets you do it all and has the space to visit family and also have alone time. I’d love to come back. »

« Everything was perfect (except for the weather at check-in!). The location is wonderful, we loved the bathroom/showers and greenhouse where we could hang and eat and admire Benka's plants! (So many orchids!). Keith was an awesome host filling us in on everything - even the surrounding area. The walking paths are beautiful and serine. The additional 5 canine hosts were adorable and Mici I'm so sorry you didn't spend at least one night with us! I wish we would have been able to stay longer...

« We had a great stay and were so impressed with the design and beautiful furnishings. We enjoyed all the personal touches and the apartment had everything we needed. David and Stephanie are gracious hosts and it was so nice to talk with them and discover they have so many wonderful plans for other projects in Ironton. They serve up amazing coffee and Stephanie’s boutique had a great selection of stylish clothing and jewelry. We will definitely be staying here again. »

« Where do I even start? There was nothing that wasn’t amazingly cool or unique about this property or the people who run it. From the first night I wanted to write a detailed 5-star review- but now I worry that going too in-depth would spoil all the little things that are there waiting for the next guests to explore and discover. So I will just say this: If you have ever wanted to feel like you are actually inside of a feel-good, small-town hallmark movie- book this place. »

« Coming from Texas, we wanted to experience the changing leaves and the nature trails in the area but were pleasantly surprised when we found ourselves staying on a plot of civil war history. Our cabin was delightfully cozy, and the creek was a very nice place to sit near for our morning coffee. The views of the mountains from the front porch as the fog cleared were impeccable and we have already saved this spot in our list of places to visit again. »
