This 3 beds/2 King, 1 Queen, 1 sofa sleeper/1 bath newly remodeled home w/new stainless steel appliances, furnished with guest comfort in mind. Sleeps up to 8 comfortably. High Speed Internet, Designated Workspace, BBQ grill, peaceful grounds, wood fire pit w/outdoor seating. FREE Parking in Driveway for up to (3) vehicles (car, truck, boat, or RV.) Pet friendly for pre-approved dogs.

The Space:
#StayinMyDistrict Columbia River. Newly remodeled spacious home created specifically with guest comfort and convenience in mind. Modern finishes and tasteful furnishings throughout make for a calm, clean and stylish escape. The interior space has plenty of windows providing light, open spacious feel while allowing ample light and fresh air into the home. Enjoy dinner or a glass of wine on the front porch or back patio in the spacious, private & park-like yard, lined with tall trees and greenery, barbecue grill, picnic table and wood burning fire pit (Bring your own Wood). Amazing outdoor space for relaxing summer or autumn evenings on the patio. Plentiful amenities throughout will make you feel at home in your stylish home away from home!

The open floor plan makes this a great property for a group or a family. Tons of amenities and stylish design choices, updated finishes & furnished with guests comfort in mind, make this the perfect spacious and relaxing retreat in the heart of Kalama, off I-5 and the Columbia River.

A fully stocked modern open concept kitchen allows for ease when cooking from home. Featuring full-size stainless-steel appliances including refrigerator, stove & oven, dishwasher, microwave, & coffee maker, and Insta-hot water tap. Plenty of utensils and cookware make eating in simple and efficient. Complete with a large dining table with seating for (8) and island seating with (4) bar stools.

There is also a separate family room off of the dining room/kitchen w/and oversized sofa & loveseat combo you can sink into, throw blankets and 55” Smart TV. Pop some popcorn and catch up on your favorite Netflix series or watch a movie! This is also a comfy space for reading, lounging, or playing a board game with the group. Large family-style dining table just off kitchen, and French doors lead to 1 of 2 decks.

Bright and open living area w/large windows that overlook the landscape and greenery outside, like a park! This room features a sitting/conversation area with gas fireplace that will heat the room, making it a very cozy place to hang out. There is a sofa and 2 chairs placed in front of the fire. You can also watch your favorite show on the Smart TV! This room has all the elements to make for a great night of lounging, chatting, watching TV or sipping a glass of wine. The sofa also pulls out into an additional bed. We provide you with clean & crisp linens, pillows, blankets, accommodating up to 2 extra guests. There is plenty of space and natural light with the large windows. There is also a large desk for working remotely!

Laundry area is equipped with full-sized washer and dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board if you choose to do laundry during your stay.

The largest bedroom features a KING size bed, comfortable mattress with clean & crisp linens. There are 2 large closets for storing your personal items. This room is big enough to also set up the pack-n-play for our wee guests. Mini Split heat/cooling in room and blackout shades create a comfy cozy room for rest and relaxation.

Pack-n-play is available and on site for guest use.

There are 2 additional bedrooms; 1 KING Room and 1 QUEEN Room furnished with the same comfortable mattresses, clean & crisp linens, nightstands, lamps, and each room featuring its own unique style. Each room has a closet space for hanging clothes and storing guests personal items.

A full bathroom features a newly renovated tile tub/shower combo. There is also ample vanity space to get ready. We also provide you with high quality towels and linens, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, all the essentials, and paper products are provided for your convenience.

The yard is large and private and has a park-like feel to it, tall trees, grass, flowering shrubbery and greenery abound. The yard is NOT fenced. There are two decks: off either side of the home. The one just off the dining room has/outdoor seating, table and chairs, & BBQ grill make for a relaxing evening on the patio. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee in the outdoor space that overlooks the beautifully green surroundings. There is additional stackable seating for 4 additional guests.


FREE parking for (2) vehicles in the entry part of the driveway and additional parking for a truck & boat or an RV in the long part of the driveway. The GARAGE is NOT available for guest use and used for the Owner's storage. This subdivision requires that all guests park in the driveway as there is no parking in front of the home.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire private home, driveway, & yard. The Garage is reserved for the OWNER so is not accessible to guests. Guests have access to the Washer/Dryer, iron & ironing board.

The Neighborhood:
Centrally located to Portland OR, Kelso, Woodland, Longview off of I-5 (North & South) in a quiet small town residential neighborhood.

Retreat Just off 1-5 corridor, with easy access to Portland OR, and Washington’s Columbia River, Kelso, Woodland & Longview. 40 minutes by car from Downtown Portland, OR & PDX Airport. There are a variety of outdoor activities, recreation facilities, beach access, restaurants, antique/vintage shops, pubs, coffee shops, and grocery within 1-2 miles of the property.

The house sits on the East side of I-5 on a beautiful park-like parcel, surrounded on 2 sides by tall trees. There are neighbors but except for one home you do not see many of the others. The home is near the quaint downtown area of Kalama and sits on the other side of the freeway from McMenamin’s and Marine Park (a 5-acre day-use park) w/access to the public beach and walking/biking pathways, recreation includes boating, windsurfing, fishing and is a docking point for American Cruise Lines that operates cruises on the Snake & Columbia River.

Kalama, WA is a small quaint community-oriented town located just off I-5 off and the Columbia River at the Port of Kalama. Approx. 40 minutes’ drive from Portland OR Metro area and PDX International Airport and a 2.5 hr drive from Seattle. Depending on the time of year, this city boasts endless amounts of outdoor activities that include windsurfing, fishing, boating, shopping, dining, walking paths, antiquing, eateries, breweries, cafes and serves as a docking stop for cruise ships that travel up and down the Columbia River. Some of the popular hiking trails in Kalama include Kalama Marina and River Walk and Kress Lake. The Port of Kalama maintains 6-miles along the Columbia River with plenty of recreational opportunities like sandy beaches, a playground, parks, a museum, and a Hawaiian themed McMenamins Lodge with restaurants and bars. The city also hosts a variety of local community events during the holidays such as Amphitheater shows, Car Festivals, Hawaiian Culture Festival and a variety of Parades throughout the year 3. Nearby cities that have famous and interesting activities include Portland, OR known for its food scene, parks, and museums; Seattle, WA known for its coffee shops, seafood restaurants, and the Space Needle; Vancouver, WA known for its parks and trails along the Columbia River 4.

Other Things to Note:
~ You must be over the age of 25 to rent any of our properties.
~Pets are allowed if they are preapproved and well behaved.
~You may be required to provide a photo of your Driver’s License or Government ID directly to the host. This is for the safety and security of both guests & property Owners and will be requested at the discretion of Stay in My District.
~ No additional guests and visitors/guests that are not registered on the reservation booking are allowed to be on the property after 10pm.
~ NO SMOKING anywhere on premises. This includes Outside. Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal.
~ Housekeeping is required and provided every 15 days for an additional charge on all stays over 15 nights.
~ Yard Service is provided weekly and they will need exterior access during your stay.

Interaction with Guests:
I like to give guests privacy and space, but I am local and can be available via message, email or phone. Please reach out directly through the Airbnb message thread as we have someone on call at all times.

The house was very warm and inviting all the kids were wanting my wife and I to buy the house and move here the only downside to this wonderful home is there is only 1 bathroom. We did get a visit Sunday morning with 2 deer in the front window all the kids and adults thought it was very cool

We booked this house for access location to the great outdoors of the PNW It was conveniently located off i-5 and close to town with food and conveniences. Quite location to rest up for the next day's adventure. Everything we needed the house had. Check-in and Check-out was easy, and the owners were helpful and at the ready if we had any questions.

Great little home that was the perfect location for my small group to make a trip into Portland one day, live music at the local McMenamins, walk the river front and relax for an afternoon of movies and puzzles. Enjoyed the open kitchen and large dining table.
