"This was the third time we have stayed here. Just as lovely as always. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast had very good choices and lovely homemade jams. Always served with a friendly smile. Aircon in the room was brilliant and much needed. Lots to see and do in the area. We’ll definitely be returning!!"
"We had an amazing stay. Leo was very welcoming and even drove us to a restaurant once. Dominique made an effort to show the winery on a sunday. This together with the idyllic location in the middle of the wine yard was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more. "
"In over 20 trips to France, this was one of the best properties where we have ever stayed. Very hospitable owners, fantastic breakfast, nicely appointed. We will highly recommend la Goutte d’Or to all of our friends & to anyone who is traveling to Champagne. "
"Do not be driven by the cover photo. This a working property and the rooms are above the office and working area. When work is over, no one is at the property. This is a very pedestrian stay. Our room was disappointing. The shower pan did not drain and my shower had to be cut short to avoid overflow. Our room door did not lock and once shut, it took the full force of my aging body to push it open. The main door to the building did lock however. The view was spectacular. We left early. "
"Amazing Relais & Châteaux property to explore the region — from dinners at nearby châteaux to visits in Épernay and the Reims area.
Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and the staff is welcoming.
For dinner, there are plenty of great options within a 15-minute drive (including Château d’Étoges and places in Épernay).

"Beautiful property and gorgeous rooms. Super large bathroom. Adorable kittens in the courtyard. Wonderful breakfast included in the room. Great value."
"If you have a car this is a very convenient spot to stay. It is close enough to enjoy what Epernay has to offer without having to compete for a parking space. It is a very quiet area and a great spot to base yourself if you are interested in exploring the vineyards and villages in the Champagne region. There is also a Lidl store just around the corner, within walking distance."
"The food was excellent but do not recommend staying at the hotel. The showers and bathroom mirrors are only adequate for people under 4ft tall. The rooms need remodeling bad to accommodate people. Also, they are serious about locking you in the hotel and parking area at night which caused an issue during our stay of someone setting off alarms and honking in the middle of the night when arriving late."
"It’s on quite a main road, which was unexpected. It’s a charming place was Eugene Mercier’s house and next door to their caves.
Rooms lovely, bed and amenities great but pillows terrible- lumpy and hard.
Breakfast not good value. "
"A very unique experience.
Host Fred very welcoming, Room very comfortable and quiet.
Property full of character, and warm ,as nights were getting chilly in October.
We had a great evening meal ,with other guests around the kitchen table. .
Fred had an amazing range of French wines for a B& B.
It was just like dining with friends, that you hadn't caught up with for some time.
We can thoroughly recommend the experience"
"The hotel was comfortable but rather noisy. The breakfast was delicious! The staff was accommodating. The bed was comfortable. It was walkable to shops, restaurants & wineries."

"I think hotel Bristol is a great spot to stay for young travellers. Its location is perfect, being a stones throw from the train station. Situated on one of the busiest streets in Reims, has tons of nightlife and restaurants around it without having to go to far. Friendly staff who speak English. "

"This is a large modern luxury hotel, so well-designed and well-maintained that it looks very new. Best of all it's on a quiet side-street just steps away from the liveliest boulevard in the city, lined with cafés and restaurants. It's also a short, pleasant walk to Reims Cathedral, the must-see attraction of the city. "

"Great stop before the tunnel. Lovely room with bathrobes, good tea and coffee in the room etc. Everything we needed. Pool looked great but didn’t use due to late arrival and don’t have breakfast as early departure - but I imagine it would have been good! "
