"Very short stay but very nice must come back again"

"Hotel do Canal is our favorite hotel in Faial. The staff are warm and friendly. The accommodations are nice and spacious. It is pretty handicap accessible and offers onsite gym, tours, multi-lingual staff, and delightful restaurant! We had dinner to which no detail had been overlooked and a great wine list was available. We also always enjoy a delightful breakfast with local offerings and general European cuisine. We already look forward to our return!"

"Great small house located on a quiet dead-end road on the outskirts of a small coastal village. Fabulous view of the coastline from the rooftop terrace. Walled, tree-lined courtyard provides shade as well as shelter from rain or wind. Comfortable bedroom. Galley kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare meals. Walking distance to small black sand beach - a good spot for surfing or bodyboarding when the swell is right. One of the island's marked hiking trails passes near the house and...

"This is a wonderful property that would be a great stay for anyone. Our room was spacious, clean, and designed and decorated with flair. The grounds are extensive and outstandingly landscaped. Francisco, the owner, is justly proud of his creation, and is very hospitable and dedicated to making your stay memorable. The breakfast spread is very generous. Very good value for the money. Highly recommended."

"Our family of 5 (four adults & one teen) felt right at home. Plenty of room and the outside yards are very special. You’ll want a rental car or be prepared for a steep walk up from town. Kitchen is small but well-equipped. Hosts are nice and helpful. WiFi is strong & reliable. Good screens on the windows to keep the biting bugs out!"
