"We only stayed one night, but the Strater will always be remembered. What a fantastic piece of working history. Every inch of this hotel is impressive. The staff are lovely and seem to love the hotel and their jobs. I was amazed at the quantity of staff who take care of this gem. We will be back. We had recently stayed at the El Tovar, which was terrific, but we put the Strater beside it. I think the Strater is better maintained with nicer amenities. "

Nice sized room and very clean. Please be aware that the pool/hot tub in the bubble dome that this hotel has been known for is NOT open at this time. Kids may be very disappointed but we were not planning on swimming anyway."
