This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental is situated just a half-mile from one of Colorado's most popular hikes. Plus, you'll be surrounded by thick woods and private lakes where you can fish and canoe to your heart's content. When the day comes to a close, return to this picturesque cabin to warm up by the wood stove or get cozy in one of the stylish bedrooms.

Charming w uncomfortable beds
We felt the property was very overrated for cleanliness and condition. We stay in 3-4 VRBOs per year and this was one of the worst we have been in. The house has a good floor plan and is decorated nicely in a very nice setting. It was not very clean in the upstairs bath. The beds were cheap and uncomfortable. The bbq grill had no propane, the starter didn’t work and there was no lighter.

Lovely and peaceful….but take the trash???
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely, peaceful home away from home, nestled out in nature. Our only gripes are the following two comments: 1) When searching my inbox for the reservation email w/ entry info, and attempting different keywords to locate it, I was not able to find it. I eventually called a number I found on the VRBO app for the property management company for this rental, during which, the individual from said company informed me, with attitude, that the email had been sent to my inbox. Nowhere in the email did it say that this was from the VRBO app, which was confusing… I digress. I’m happy to have gotten in but I didn’t appreciate the sass from the person on the phone line.;-) 2) We were absolutely shocked to find that we were supposed to dispose of our trash at the end of our state. We paid a significant amount of money to stay at the spot, and for what, If not to take care of cleaning, etc. In addition to stripping the beds, as the rental binder stated, we were asked to dispose of our own trash… We were surprised and a little annoyed by this, but did as we were told, and even went to the trash disposal location that had been listed in the binder…. This location was 30 minutes away, and when we arrived, it was closed for the day! Again, we did enjoy our stay, and I rarely leave comments, but my family insisted that I be sure to share this as we were understandably a little annoyed. Don’t worry, it didn’t ruin our family fun time ;-)

Awesome!
Location, location, location! Great location and house/cabin. Jake was awesome answering all questions and tending to our needs. FYI- I placed a kitchen stool on the back deck with a few small colorful dishes filled with home made hummingbird “nectar” (sugar water) and were visited by 2 sweet hummingbirds :)

Lovely mountain cabin
We loved our stay at this mountain cabin. At an elevation above 10,000 feet, we were surrounded by fragrant pines and had a direct view of a snow-covered mountain top. At the start of June, there were still mounds of snow around the cabin. As you drive up to the cabin, keep your eyes peeled for deer crossing the road. We saw several. Loved it. The town of Idaho Springs nearby has several wonderful places to eat and take a stroll. The Mount Blue Sky scenic Byway is a must see. Check in was seemless and our host was great.

Great Home in a Beautiful Location!
The home was in such a beautiful place and is in good condition. The home was clean and Jake was very responsive. The location is amazing with beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. We even got to do some exploring around the lake and my kids loved it. The location is fairly remote, which is nice but with any amount of snow would be hard to get to. Would definitely stay again!

Needs a Deep Clean
My family and I were in the area for the Georgetown Loop Railroad. We chose this property because it was listed a non-smoking, pet free. The dust on every hard surface combined with the very noticeable smell of cigarette smoke made it a very unpleasant stay for myself and 4 year old who have allergies. The view from the kitchen/living area was gorgeous, and the kitchen had everything we could need including a bottle of wine. This home needs some updating and deep clean.

Peaceful Oasis in the Woods.
This wonderfully placed cabin in the woods was just what our hearts and souls needed for the final leg of our vacation. The listing couldn't have been more true to it's depiction, and was everything and more than we could have hoped for! I would definitely return for another stay here.

The VRBO site was a bit difficult to actually book the house, but after that it was smooth sailing! It is a great home to stay at with beautiful trees, home decor, comfy beds, and a very cozy living area. Jake was great with communication and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again. Quiet Location
We only stayed 2 nights, but the location was great. The location was perfect as we mainly wanted to relax and go to St. Mary's Trailhead (which was a close walk from this place). The area was nice and quiet. Plenty of space for our family of 4. We even saw a Mamma Moose and baby the morning we were packing up to leave-she walked right past the front door.

Wonderful Cabin
My husband and I and another couple stayed here and had a wonderful visit. This cabin is one of the best stocked VRBO properties we have stayed at. The cabin is spacious and nicely decorated. We loved the deck and feel of being secluded in the trees. We loved the proximity to hiking trails and the lakes. It is also close to Idaho Springs and lots to do in the area. Great communication with the property manager. We appreciated that tremendously. One small complaint- no wifi for the week made it a challenge to do basic things like search online for nearby trails and other things. We had to drive down the mountain to get a signal. A warning for flatlanders like us- this cabin is at a high elevation if you are prone to elevation sickness. Other than that, this is an amazing location and beautiful cabin. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful cabin in ideal location
The cabin's location is ideal for its beauty and easy access to St. Mary's Glacier, with amazing hiking and views. It's also simple to get to either Georgetown or Idaho Springs for groceries, a meal out, and additional hiking. The cabin's views are spectacular in the winter and we can only imagine how wonderful it would be to sit outside on the deck in warmer weather. The kitchen is fully stocked and it was easy to make all our meals at home. There's plenty of room to spread out, too, so we could enjoy both family time and alone time as wanted. The owner is very quick to reply to all messages and was a great communicator and big help. We highly recommend!
