The lake is generally still accessible for swimming, paddling, fishing, boating, and other water sports, though such uses are not as common during the winter months except fishing, which improves!

cute house, but disappointing
I recently stayed at the Ivy Cove house. The house itself is very cute, but the outside area was disappointing. The deck was not useable, very dirty and hade weeds growing all over it, the grill was nasty and there was a tree limb down in the yard at the deck.

The property was great as far as location. The property has been well maintained. Very quaint and cozy feeling. Only issue is that we were black attire for work and someone had stayed with an animal in the house and we all had white hair on our clothing. Otherwise a great property for family fun and fishing.

Nice Older Lake Hamilton House
The initial impression of this place could be improved. There were several things that just need a little TLC. Someone with a paint brush and some white paint could make a huge difference in the entryway appearance. Having grown up on Lake Hamilton I understand how hard it is to keep leaves and fallen limbs raked, but that really needs to be done, too. The driveway is a little tricky, especially if you have a big vehicle, but that is not unusual at all in that neighborhood. Also, we never did figure out how to get the TV to show local channels. Some instructions for that would be nice. We weren't there to watch TV anyway, so it's no big deal. All that being said, it is really a nice place to stay. It is quiet and relaxing and everything you need is there. The inside was clean and comfortable. And the location makes it easy to get to Central Avenue, Oaklawn. and all the restaurants and attractions there.

Great place, great location and easy check in and chk out. Had everything we needed. Great place to relax and to have kids playing on the decks and catch in the back yard. Right on the lake. Bonus: We weren't bit by a single mosquito!

We stayed in this VRBO for our daughter's birthday. It was a great location, close to everything that she wanted to do. There was a public boat launch nearby, and the house had a deck we could tie the boat to. It was a great weekend, very relaxing. The house had all the amenities listed and check in was very easy; probably the easiest that I've had before. The driveway was sloped but they were very transparent with that. It was doable though, plus you had extra parking under the carport. I would definitely stay here again!!!

My friend and I stayed a week and we are both 75. Would recommend putting maps in the rental. My friend left her medicine in the smaller bathroom cabinet. How do we get that back to her. Please help us. We are going to book again in September. Thank for your help

Great potential. There was no attention to details. Had to clean all dishes before using, might have been a seeing impaired person emptying the dishwasher before we arrived. Mattress stored in the master closet so it was difficult to use this otherwise nice closet. All of the burners on the grill did not work, somewhat inconvenient. Cook ware was probably nice at some point, non stick but metal utensils have damaged them. Proper utensils for Teflon coating are not expensive. A couple of wine glasses would be nice as well. Probably has the cheapest dishwasher that has ever been produced. Trash can in the kitched was also filthy.

I'll go with "honesty & facts" for our review because that's what we would want and expect. House is beautiful. Furniture is lacking comfort especially the "beds". Horrible is all we have for them. Guest bathroom window "does not lock" and had a huge roach in it. And the guest closet had a big mattress in it. Currently with the beds that are there and the couch, we can't recommend this rental. Nothin but besties hangin out to catch up, so our review is in all honesty. Our host's Eric and Michelle were easy going and friendly.

Online pictures do not do this house justice! Everything very handy, clean and well stocked. Michelle was absolutely awesome answering any questions we had. We are elderly, so the only suggestion I might possibly have would have been grab bars in bathtub and shower and nonskid mat on tub & shower. Will definitely book here again

This house was perfect. Easy to find and great location. The only issue was swimming from dock. It was only about two feet deep and lots of trees and roots under water. Had to go out a bit further but we would definitely stay again.

The property was just like the photos which was so amazing. I love waking up to the views of the water every morning. The only complaints I have would be the water in front of the deck is very mossy and your unable to swim or fish due too so many turtles and snakes. I would most definitely rent the property again. I will rent a boat next time to spend time on and in the water because we love the water. Also the location of the property is close to all restaurants, stores, and other activities.

Great house very clean with a great location! We had a great time. Water in front of house little shallow and to mossy for swimming. The cove that it’s located in is great the water isn’t choppy or to busy from main lake! My only negatives are The dock is a little small and not great for large boats and the patio and dock areas need more lighting. But over all great house will definitely stay again!

Perfect place to recharge!
We enjoyed our stay at Ivy Cove! The beds were comfortable and the showers had good water pressure. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck. Only suggestion would be to have a tote/storage area for the cushions on the deck furniture. It stormed one night and three days later the cushions were still wet. We would recommend Ivy Covy and will request to stay there again if we return to the area.
