« Très belle propriété, idéale pour deux familles. Tout le monde y trouve son espace. La maison est bien située, entre Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove et Halifax. Également à environ 1h des vignobles de la Vallée d’Annapolis. Il n’y pas tellement de plage de galets à l’avant de la propriété permettant de profiter de l’eau, bien qu’une merveilleuse plage se trouve à Bayswater, à quelques minutes seulement en voitures. « On this occasion, we were in Nova Scotia for a family member’s Celebration of Life and decided to extend our visit by staying at the Beacon. It is a wonderful place, and we were very comfortable and especially enjoyed the ocean views. We also had a lovely family gathering, with a BBQ and dessert by the fire pit. The only drawback is the condition of the access road - hopefully for those who use it frequently it will be fixed! Thanks for everything! »

« Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. « Great house. Some of the furniture needs changing like the dining room chairs that are very wobbly.3 bedrooms in basement are only doubles so like my son and his wife that are bigger people they had to sleep separately. All in all there was a great view and it was worth the prixe. »

« Our group of four just stayed for a week in August and had an incredible time at this property! We found everything to be true to the listing if not better, and the stunning views from multiple directions made our stay even more memorable. We were able to explore a great deal of the surrounding areas thanks to the central location, with short hops to nearby Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove, Chester, and of course Halifax and other great destinations. Highly recommended! »

« If you are looking for a secluded spot, this is the place. We enjoyed going for walks and kayaking around the island. The kitchen is spacious so we did a fair bit of cooking, although it’s a short drive into town to go out to dinner if that’s what you prefer. The only drawback is that the downstairs bedroom was a bit loud because of pumps turning on and off at night, but if you’re a sound sleeper that shouldn’t be a problem. »
