Cozy getaway mins from Michigan Tech, Ski & Snowmobile trails & Lake Superior

Beautiful, 1100sf, remodeled home away from home with over 120ft x 20ft of winter parking! Snowmobile trails are only a few short blocks (equal to 1 city block) away and are easily accessible from the house. Boasts all the amenities; Central air and heating, 50" TV with Roku, Wifi, bluetooth speaker, comfortable beds and bedding, all new kitchen appliances. Along with the basics, the kitchen includes a microwave, airfryer, blender, hand mixer, toaster oven and electric griddle... everything you need to make a home-cooked meal.
Enjoy coffee from the coffee bar, with a kuerig, traditional coffee pot or French press. An assortment of teas are also provided.
Enter through the back HEATED porch with all you need to store your Winter gear. Plenty of wall hooks, 2 boot dryers/heaters, boot trays and helmet hangers. A perfect place for ski equipment as well. A bonus to be able to put on warm winter gear!
The enclosed front porch is lined with windows, rattan furniture and a ceiling fan....perfect for morning coffee or a cocktail in the warmer months. A sunny day heats it nicely in the winter months.
The two bedooms upstairs have very comfortable mattresses and bedding, luggage racks, dressers and the larger has a closet for hanging clothing. There is a queen murphy bed on the main level in the living area that pulls down for additional sleeping (the same comfortable mattress as the upstairs beds) A pack-n-play is available upon request.
There are 2 full bathrooms, one upstairs with a shower, and one with a tub/shower downstairs. I should mention the water pressure is incredible!! Both bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers for your convenience. Towels, and wash cloths are also provided.
The dining room seats 6 and a high chair is available upon request.
All this and only minutes away from MTU (3.2 miles away), 1.5 miles to Downtown Houghton, 1.4 miles to Downtown Hancock, a few short blocks to Mount Ripley Ski Hill and the Hancock /Lake Linden Snowmobile Trail. Only 46 miles to Copper Harbor, 2.7 miles to the Quincy Mine (a great tour), 11 miles to McClain State Park (Lake Superior beach) and if you're lucky you'll experience the Northern lights from many places just minutes away.

This place is very very nicely remodeled and they have thought of everything! The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked including the coffee/tea bar. The location is convenient, literally 5 min to Houghton. It was wonderful for spending time with our student. Thank you for a wonderful stay- and we will be back!!

The owners did a great job refurbishing an older home in Hancock. The kitchen was well supplied with all the needed appliances and utensils. There are 2 good sized bedrooms upstairs. This house makes a good base for exploring the Keweenaw. We highly recommend this property

Great central location to do day trips all over the area. We hiked at Porcupine Mts, explored the local mine history and looked for agates at Agate Beach in Copper Harbor. It was so clean and very inviting that I would definitely stay there again.

fantastic place convenient to Mich Tech
we stayed for several days to move our son up to Mich Tech and explored the area. Home was clean and beautifully furnished. Everyone found the beds comfortable, even the Murphy bed - memory foam as listed was very appreciated. We appreciated all the nice little touches, having a few little thoughtful snacks and the detergent pods. We enjoyed sitting in the back enclosed porch. Also enjoyed the coffee selection and I especially appreciated the coffee creamer in the fridge. Location is convenient to Houghton/Hancock yet is quiet. The double wide driveway very easy to park in. We would definitely stay there again!!!

A great place to stay
This house was in excellent condition with nice amenities and perfect for our short weekend trip to the Keweenaw. The house appears to have been recently updated and everything was in excellent condition. The location is great and close to the activities in Houghton / Hancock and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. I could see this being a great place for snowmobilers with helmet holders and lots of clothing hooks in the heated enclosed patio area. 10/10 would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home. The home was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to fix some meals, the enclosed front porch was a cozy spot to enjoy morning coffee and the beds were very comfortable! We enjoyed our stay here. The home was clean and well-cared for. It was very comfortable and had what we needed. We cook most meals and the kitchen was equipped for that. The front porch is a great spot to relax. Communication with the owner was great. Next time we are in the area, we will seek out this home. Highly recommended.

Newly renovated home with good location
This is a newly updated home that has is well set up and deigned with renters in mind. There are plenty of new utensils, dishes, pots and pans. The baths are very clean with wall mounted containers for soaps. It was perfect for our trip with another couple and close to Houghton and the Porcupine Mountains and Copper Harbor. The host was prompt in getting back yo us when we hjad questionsand the information about the house was all inclusive and easy to understand

We had a wonderful time on our vacation and enjoyed the home so much. It was our first time staying more in town and they did not disappoint. It was a very quiet neighborhood and easy to get in and out to our adventures. The house was very clean and accommodating for our family of 5. The dining room light was a perfect night light for our little one who slept in the Murphy bed. The snacks and coffee bar was a special touch. While we did a final walkthrough we missed a camera charger and Jodi offered to ship it back to us. Wonderful hosts and would definitely stay with them again.

The house is really nice. There were all kinds of appliances ready for use, more than I am used to seeing including air fryer, crock pot, and coffee grinder. The pots and pans looked new. The dishes were very nice. The owner even stocked the freezer with ice. The beds were fantastic, including the Murphy bed. It was great having 2 full bathrooms. The location was easy to get to and from Houghton for graduation. The house was comfortable for my husband, mom and father-in-law. Plenty of room for our sons to gather after the ceremony. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

We drove in from out of State for an event at Houghton, MI and were very fortunate to find this beautiful property on Vrbo to stay for 2 night on the weekend. This property is very beautifully renovated, it was very clean, it had everything you will need for a family. It worked out so perfect for our family of five, it was like being home away from home. There were complementary snacks in the refrigerator which our kids enjoyed very much. There were plenty of clean towels and bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and bath soap installed already in them in case you forgot to bring some. The interior of the home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen was adequately stocked with beautiful quality kitchen ware. If we are ever in the area again, we hope we will be lucky to stay at this property again. It was a very positive and beautiful experience for us to stay at this property. Very highly recommend. 10/10 plus many bonus points for the thoughtfulness and care that has gone into making this property one of the most comfortable stays we have ever utilized in our many travel adventures. MTU Visit
Thank you Jodi for such a beautiful place to stay while visiting Michigan Tech in January. Whoever cleans your house did an amazing job as it was spotless! We loved that you left the heater on for us in your entryway and the fact that there was a place for boots, skis, and helmets. The boot warmers were a nice touch. We also enjoyed the convenience of being so close to Mont Riley. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The driveway had ample parking and was plowed and ready for our arrival. You have truly thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable! We would definitely stay at your home again for future trips!
