TLDR: Nice comfortable place with modern touches. Great for a group of families. Great location to hit up Calabogie Peaks.
Stayed in the winter time.
Things to do/in the area:
Super close proximity to Calabogie Peaks meant that we could take the kids to the hill in the morning, take them back to rest of they got tired, and go back for ah afternoon session. Some nice cafe, brewery, pub, and restaurant a short drive away. Major grocery stores ~25 minute drive away so stock up on the way in.
The house itself:
Very well furnished in a blend of modern styling and cottage feel. Modern conveniences (smart TVs, smart speakers, gas fireplaces, bright pot lights). Love the availability of kid friendly dishes and utensils, crib, and high chair. Well stocked kitchen with appliances, we made a turkey dinner and forgot a baster... But they had one there! Everything we needed including a hand mixer, blender, and roasting pan. Great big firepit outside with space to have 6 adults and 5 kids roasting marshmallows and making smores with the provided firewood. Bathrooms were spacious with one on each floor. Bedrooms were very comfortable with 3 king, 2 queen, and 2 twin beds. The living room/dining room space is great for the kids to play and adults to chill and the downstairs living room space was great to lounge and watch movies. Boardgames provided good family entertainment.
Communication:
Matt and Liz were super easy to reach and responded to questions super fast.
