House had all we needed and we appreciated the beach toys and games downstairs. It does feel a little run down and could do with some furniture steam cleaning, a paint job and deep clean.

Wonderful beach location!
We spent a wonderful long weekend in this charming cottage, had perfect weather for our multiple outings to the beach, which is steps away as advertised! The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed, and the neighborhood is outstanding! We will definitely be back!

Great location!
Don’t let location keep you from renting this amazing rental, Gary Indiana has some beautiful lake front properties. This nice home is literally steps from the beach, 2 min. walk. The location is ideal for visiting the Indiana Dunes National Park. I suggest a short drive north to care stair ants and shops in New Buffalo, MI.

Great stay
This house was amazing. Me and my siblings stayed here so that we could all be under one roof since we all live in different states and it was so spacious. It even had a game room down stairs that we didn’t expect. Owner was very nice and the area was great. Definitely recommend booking!

Good location for a relaxing weekend
Place is a 1 minute walk to Lake Michigan and the beach is great. The house has a really nice finished basement that wasn’t shown in the pictures that we really enjoyed. The only downfall was that the place was not very clean (dirty floors) and lots of bugs throughout the home (bees, spiders, ants).

Great overall stay - the house was very clean - great inclusion of linens - comfortable beds - good inclusion of things in the Kitchen, etc. Though located in Gary, IN it felt to be in a safe area and the beach really is just a short distance away. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to the area.

This was the perfect spot for a quick family getaway! The house is a minute walk from the beach and we practically had the beach to ourselves our whole trip! The house was nice, clean, and had everything you could possibly need- towels, bedding, extra pillows and blankets, beach toys, chairs, kitchen supplies, coffee, etc. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to others!

We took a weekend girls trip for my daughters birthdays and the kids all had a blast. The location was perfect to quickly get to the beach. You feel far away from the hustle and bustle but you are still close enough if you need to run and pick up supplies. Thank you for hosting us!

AMAZING!
We loved the location and the environment! The secluded, wooded yard out back was so inviting, quiet, and serene. We heard birds, saw wildlife, and listened to the waves. When we were ready to go to the beach, we simply walked over to the water! We loved how close we were. It made it so easy to hop back to the house for lunch and dinner, spending the rest of our time at the beach. We felt safe the entire time, there was plenty for the kids to do, and the adults got to relax.

Very convenient location
Very nice house and less than a block from the beach. This has many supplies such as children's toys, pack n’ play and also high chair, which was a great plus. The host assisted us so quick with some missing items in the house. The only thing was hard to keep a balanced temperature with the air conditioning, it works perfectly on the first floor but hot on the second one.

The house was beautiful and clean. It was stocked with everything we needed and some things that we didn’t even realize we needed. The beach was just a short walk and was also very clean and mostly private. We met the host of the property and she was lovely. She even left us a guide of local places to try for food and groceries. 10/10 I would stay here again. My whole group left happy and relaxed.

Girls weekend getaway!
We enjoyed our stay at this house! There was plenty of beds and the weather was perfect for us to have a bonfire! The wood provided was a little green but burnt well after we got the coals nice and hot. The beach was a quick walk away and a great place to relax and catch some sun. There was plenty of great beach stuff at the house but the umbrella was older and looked broken so we didn't take it. I would rent this house again! If your looking for a place that has a lot of places to eat or things to do, this isn't your area. It was fantastic for laughs and relaxation for a group of friend whom go away once a year to forget the real world for a few days.

Great location but dirty and unsafe also a mouse
Let’s start with the pros, this location is minutes away from a great beach. Now for the cons. The house is quite dirty. When we first arrived the table was fully set with plates and bowls. Unfortunately these dishes were dirty and had to be washed immediately. Like each bowl was full of someone’s snack crumbs. The floor was dirty and there were spiderwebs everywhere. The final morning of our stay as we were finishing breakfast we saw a mouse run across the kitchen floor and under the dishwasher. Yuck. The smoke detectors upstairs were all missing. This has to be some sort of code violation. There is an electrical plate upstairs that has a huge hole in it which is a big hazard with young kids. This place is expensive enough that I expected better. 100% do not recommend :)

Great house, great location
Great house, great location. Less than a block from the beach access trail. I was impressed with the variety and quality of the cookware and kitchen utensils and knives. Many vacation rentals have hardly any cookware and the knives are always dull. Having a ping pong table, card table, and mini street fighter arcade game in the basement was fun. There was some firewood at the house - good for a fire 1 night but not 2. We were also unable to find anywhere nearby that sold firewood. The only downside is the “before” 10am check out time, especially given the fairly rigorous check-out instructions, and the owner/manager was sitting in their car outside the house at about 9:45am on our check-out day.
