"Ten minutes from Condom, a maison du maitre on a hill, with five or so nice chambres. The attached pressoir is a great resto, cuisine Gascogne and a fine cave.
The decor would please my wife and the table pleases me. There is a pool and garden to relax.
Great Gers address!"
"A wonderful remote setting in a beautiful building. The small village itself has a couple of restaurants and ice cream shops for a nice slow stroll.
The hotel had incredibly friendly and helpful staff who were always willing to help. Especially when my limited French ran out and we were able to switch to English too.
The room was very warm with no air conditioning. I would recommend mosquito spray if going in the summer months as they were quite prevalent in the area.
Unfortunately there...
"This is a quiet place in Montreal, Gers, which could be really nice but is just OK. Very good price for the beginning of high season (~ USD 50/night)
Reception is open limited hours, but they can give you a code to open the gate and leave your towels and keys out for you if arriving late. The people at reception were unfailingly helpful and (almost alarmingly !) positive. There is a parking area which I think will not be quite enough if the place is full.
Hameaux is made up of small...
"Broken down car in the car park is only vehicle there. Doors open but no staff. Have to go several hundred metres to ibis budget to register. Poorly maintained and unsafe feeling area not helped by signs pointing out that the car park is not secured "
"We arrived at 1pm and ended up waiting outside the property for 3 hours before we could check in despite the sign on the door saying reception was open from 2pm. There was nobody around to help us and nobody to answer the phone when we called. The property itself was ok but very basic and there was bugs in the room. There is nothing at the complex in terms of anywhere to get any food / drink and everywhere is a drive away. The swimming pool was also disappointing and quite dirty."
"Lovely building and we had a really excellent dinner - the catering team was changing so they weren't on their new menu yet so what we had was effectively a one-off. Lots of attention from the chap who was taking over the running of the kitchen.
We had an automatic email from the property saying we had pre-payed but when we checked out we were told we hadn't. That caused some confusion especially as the man at checkout kept referring to our Expedia booking - I know Hotels.com is part to Expedia...
"We stayed here in our way to Sete so it was ideal for us as we ony needed comfortable, clean accomodation and it is certainy that. The restaurant was closed but our host directed us to a cafeteria which was a good, and reasonably, priced experience."
"This establishment actually has no official stars.
This is a richly deserved rating. Apart from one very kindly cleaning lady, I can not think of one positive thing to say about this "hotel".
The sign on the gable wall tells you the hotel has been renovated. The notice in the plastic cubicle that is the "bathroom" (the door didn't close) tells you improvements will begin in September 2017. We found an infestation of flies on the nasty plastic curtain of the shower .
And this was the better...
"I stayed here because there was a pool. When I arrived about 8 or 9pm there was a self-check-in at the gate. I was not sent a code, but a friend who spoke French called and got it for me. It was not sent through Hotels.com or by email. Without calling I would have not been able to stay here at all and would have been far from Agen with no room. It is VERY FAR from Agen, not in Agen as listed on the hotels.com site. The pool was covered for the night and opened at 8am the next morning. ...

"Very easy, clean and comfortable hotel very close to the centre of Agen and its bus and train station. Have been there twice and plan to go again. Extremely caring personnel - thank you very much !"
"Les travaux effectués font leur effet ! C'est vraiment très joli et les chambres sont décorées avec goût et spacieuses. Bon accueil et bon contact avec le sourire de tout le personnel/"

5/5 Excellent
Perfect place to think and unwind
"This was the most perfect place to think and unwind over a week, while being able to head out and see nearby sites. The pool, pizza oven, and barbeque allowed us to relax and chat; the grounds allowed us enough space not to be crowded. Perfect!"

There is no ice machine, no refrigerator, no hotel staff. I got up at 8 to use the pool for an hour. When I checked out the hotel front desk person called a cab for me. It was about 30 euro to get back to Agen. This is the only person I spoke to during my entire stay and she was lovely and helpful and understanding of my baby French as I counted on my fingers to tell her my room number. If you aren't prepared for this odd system, you will not be able to check-in if you arrive late. There is an elevator. There is no communication with guests. Pool is very small and was being cleaned during the one hour I was able to use it during my stay. I swam anyway, but the vacuum was underfoot and would not have been safe for children to swim."
