Relax in style in this quintessential Alaskan DRY* cabin nestled on the edge of the boreal forest and away from the city lights. View the northern lights in the winter and wildlife in the summer without leaving the property!
A short drive from the airport and close to town, the cabin is stocked with tons of amenities including a coffee bar, electric fireplace, and free unlimited Wi-Fi.
The space
Wolf’s Den is a DRY* cabin offering a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, dedicated workstation, smart TV and 3 beds (one queen/full bed and twin bunk beds) and its own private outhouse – the perfect retreat for a couple or small family.
*Dry cabins have no running water or indoor toilets but offer a true Alaskan experience to brag about! To make the dry cabin experience fun and as comfortable as possible, we provide our guests with the following:
* The outhouse is equipped with motion sensor LED lights and a heater, and is stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
* The cabin has a Primo hot/cold drinking water dispenser and a pump-operated faucet and sink for hand washing, brushing teeth, washing dishes, etc.
* Shower sheets (extra-large body wipes) and dry shampoo are provided as a great alternative to wet showers.
There is also a nearby laundromat (10-minute drive) with coin-op showers and towels for rent. Here are some additional faciailiies for showering Mary-Siah Recreational Center, UAF-SRC Building, also if you have a Planet Fitness Gym membership we have a local club here.
About the Area
- 20 min. drive to Fairbanks International Airport.
- 15 min. drive to the many grocery stores, restaurants and shops in downtown Fairbanks.
- 12 min. drive to Creamer's Field – a seasonal migratory waterfowl refuge where Cranes, Arctic Swans, and Canada Geese abound.
- 10 min. drive to University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF).
- 10 min. walk to Musher's Hall, which is home to the Open North American Sled Dog Race. This famous event hosts mushers from all over the world each spring.
Enjoy bountiful miles of wilderness trails on Farmer's Loop, Birch Hill and UAF.
Guest access
Outside parking year-round – please make sure your vehicle is winterized & has winter tires. Ask your rental car company to provide you with an extension cord for plugging your car in during winter months. If you experience trouble starting your vehicle, please contact your rental car company. Do not let your transportation leave until you gained access, during winter months. Cabins move during winter and spring time periods, this can lead to doors being harder to open.
Other things to note
Dry cabin – no running water or shower.
You can haul in water in jugs and utilize the sink to wash dishes and hands.

Nicely wooded 3-acre lot, close to UAF, golf course, fishing pond, bike paths, churches and coffee huts. Next door to the famous Dog Mushers Hall. Where you can frequently watch dog mushing training and events.
Getting around
Parking is off-street. There is an asphalt drive all the way to Crossman Road, which turns to a maintained dirt road leading to the front door on Tarsier Dr.
We always recommend AWD/4x4 when traveling in Alaska.
Uber, Lyft, taxi, and bus services are available, but limited. Please schedule your rides in advance whenever possible. Great location for biking, running, walking, or jogging.
