El Macao Vacation Packages

Everyone has their own opinions and expectations. So here are mine. The resort itself was beautiful and clean. The rooms are spacious and clean. Be careful if your feet are wet anywhere whether at pool or room as it becomes very slippery and you may fall. The staff were very friendly and seemed happy to serve you. The only one problem, that it language barrier. They need to learn English. They work very hard for very little so please tip them. The food was adequate. It was never hot and barely warm. Being from United States, I found very little that I like. The restaurants are almost impossible to get a reservation unless you go to guest services and complain. I hate to complain. Even them some from my group weren't all that impressed. I never got in one. The pool was wonderful and their staff were eager to engage you in activities. So to sum it up, we had fun being there with friends, weather was great, beautiful setting but I will not be going back. There is very little to do however I do suggest letting the crew take you sailing and please tip them. Other people may think it's perfect. This is just my opinion. weactivitiesclean

Juan was amazing. Having him to guide us made our first visit stress free. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience.

We stayed at Ocean El Faro for 7 days with our two young daughters. While the resort looked promising based on reviews and its modern design, it didn’t live up to expectations. Check-in took over an hour and turned into a Privilege Club (timeshare) pitch—something we were hoping to avoid. Thankfully, Chef Rafael made our stay manageable. He prepared fresh halal meals daily, checked on our kids personally, and went above and beyond. Roberto also assisted him with care and professionalism—both were amazing. Our room was clean but basic, and sheets had a persistent damp smell. Food overall was repetitive, lacked vegetarian options, and buffet service was slow. Mike’s Coffee Shop had limited snacks, though the mango smoothie was great. The pool was large and uncrowded, but towels and lounge chairs were hard to find. The kids’ club was poorly run, and entertainment was hit or miss. Language barriers with staff made simple requests frustrating. Rainy weather added to the challenge as there were no covered walkways. Tip: Bring snacks, pool toys, conditioner, and rain jackets. Suggestion: Improve food, towel availability, staff communication, and entertainment.

The property was nice. It was clean all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lewis the Butler was very understanding and communicative about our stay. The employees there accommodated us with everything that we needed. The view from our hotel was very nice every day the maid cleaned our room and restocked their fridge. I don’t have any complaints about staying here. Since this hotel is a part of the marina. There is a gated community that doesn’t allow anybody in unless they have a purpose or they’re staying there. I felt safe walking around at night. I would love to come here again and enjoy the time with my family. The beach is about 10 minutes away, and they do provide transport every hour if you don’t have a car. There are many food choices here as well. There’s a couple restaurants around the hotel that you can eat at and they do provide you with food they give you two choices every night to eat. Overall, our stay was fantastic and I would recommend anybody to stay here if they want something quiet and family oriented.
