« After reading a review in a paper we decided to try for ourselves. The George and Dragon staff were so welcoming and friendly easy to talk to and very helpful. Our room was clean and tidy with lovely en-suite shower room , soft towels and toiletries . Breakfast and evening meal was delicious all staff made sure our dining experience was so comfortable. We shall return. »

« I expected to be able to have a meal as the details indicated a restaurant but there was no evening food available. As they had few guests they also closed the bar at 7.30 pm. Odd as when I booked it indicated that there was limited availability. The hotel is pretty basic. The room was clean though and decent breakfast. This has slightly dented my trust in the accuracy of details provided on Expedia. I had been travelling around the north of England and this was the least value for money. »

« This gorgeous hotel in a beautiful part of the country. The staff were amazing and could not have been more helpful or friendly. Food was outstanding and the rooms were very comfortable. There are no negatives this property we will definately be back »

« Arrived about 4.30, had not noticed when booking that there was no car parking, nor was there any available outside. We tried to gain admittance to ask for advice on where to park but noonecwas around despite the fact that the website claims that the desk is open all day 7.30am to 11.00pm. We finally gave up and stayed elsewhere. »

The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs.
