There are so many activities happening in Driggs! In the summer don't miss the Targhee Music Festival in July and the Blue Grass Festival in August at Targhee Resort less than 15 miles up the hill. The resort also offers hiking, extreme biking, horseback riding, and a pool.
Kayaking, rafting, canoeing, and fishing are just five minutes away on the Teton River. Henry's Fork of the Snake River, Falls River, and others are about 45 minutes away. Feed the fish at Warm River and continue on highway 47 from Ashton to see beautiful Mesa Falls. The Ashton-Tetonia Rails To Trails State Park provides 30 miles of scenic biking or cross-country skiing. Just 16 miles away in Victor, Music on Main offers great musical line-ups in the park every Thursday night for free all summer!
Winter, of course, is for downhill, cross-country, alpine, and extreme skiing, snowboarding, and snow-machining at Targhee resort and the nearby hills. The Driggs Winterfest activities are held in early February including snow plane demos, musher races, an ice sculpture competition, and more.
And if Driggs isn't enough for you, Jackson Hole, WY is just a 50 minute scenic drive away. It is an exciting place summer or winter. You'll find The National Wildlife Art Museum there or winter sleigh-rides through the National Elk Refuge. Teton Village Ski Resort is at the bottom of the pass on the way to Jackson and Snow King Resort is right in town! Jackson also has a great night life! From Jackson, you can head into Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park to explore the beauty of the mountains in winter.
