While the staff was accommodating when you asked for help and many of them were quite friendly, personable, and talkative, quite often they lacked the professionalism I’m knowledgeable of from previous hotel front desk employment
-no mention, let alone apologies in advance, of renovation construction noise/mess at check-in
-asking me for my room number when seeking assistance at front desk; ALWAYS look at computer folio with guest’s last name to ensure their privacy/safety
-just an overall apologetic tone for when amenities and/or facilities weren’t up to par, and there were quite a few…starting w/room door handle not properly functioning and therefore blocking me from entering my room at my 1am arrival. Yes, front desk personnel came and helped me to enter, but after having to traverse all the way back to the front desk from my distant room accompanied with an attitude like you’ve bothered him for assistance, like you were moronic for not figuring it out on your own, should NEVER be experienced from a guest. And when the head housekeeper mentions having problems w/the door on a previous occasion, it’s very disconcerting! A guest should never be assigned to a room that has not been properly serviced by maintenance staff for an essential feature!
-staff should be continuously enhancing the facilities. Mainly I’m referring to litter laying about. A piece was obvious in the main hallway from main elevator to my room. Staff failed to pick it up after multiple passings
