« Victoria House is a boutique hotel in downtown Frederiksted, right across from the water. The hotel is eclectic, beautiful and relaxing and it felt like home. Each room is special and welcoming. There is a small wading pool surrounded by nice pool chairs and tables. On site there is a bar called Ruff Night, run by a dog rescue and adoption group. Some days puppies are there! « The host is above and beyond what you could ask for. I definitely recommend this experience for any nature lover. The site was definitely worth the stay to hear all the beautiful sounds of St Croix. One of our favorite parts was watching the lizards in the grass behind the camp stove, there was such a variety and they just hung out without worry of being watched. We didn’t stay at his container home next door, but we saw it and it would be a perfect combination for a family with kids who want...

« The location of this property was great. The shoreline was 10-15 yards from our patio. The beach is stony and was best if I wore water shoes. The swimming pool was good, but we used it only once as beaches were so accessible. We had a rental car, which was needed for us to get around and to explore the island. « If the photos of the place look good to you then you will love this place. If you own a pair of Birkenstocks and enjoy seeing hummingbirds you will have a great visit. Had a great time at the Inn and went snorkeling right at the bottom of the driveway. We had a room with no AC and just listened to the wildlife all night. Wonderful! »

« Had a wonderful week at St. Croix. It was very relaxing, and the rest was needed. The sightseeing is beyond expectations, and I would recommend a visit to the Island anytime...and staying here presents a wonderful view of the island. »

« We spent 8 days on island and this was the perfect home base for the week. It's not fancy, but it has updated amenities, it's clean, comfortable, has everything you need, (including beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels) minutes from Christiansted-but away from the crowds. When we had questions we just texted the owner and she responded within minutes. Definitely recommend if you're on a mid-range budget. It's worth every penny... »

« We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay! »
