"The area was wonderful and so was the staff at the main Empathy building, however the sleeping mat was very thin (no thicker than a comforter blanket) and uncomfortable to sleep on. I've stayed at traditional Japanese guesthouses where you sleep on a tatami floor in Japan, and the mat was much thicker and more comfortable. Also, the tiny bean bag pillow was too small and made it even more uncomfortable to sleep. The house itself was beautiful and unique to stay at though. Two possible tips...
