There’s no shortage of beach destinations in sunny Florida, but Clearwater vacations steal the show. Nestled between Tampa and St. Petersburg, this Gulf coast treasure boasts miles of pure-white sands, stunningly clear waters, and enough activities to fill a year of getaways. The best trips to Clearwater start at the shore. Clearwater vacation packages often provide access to private beaches, but you’ll find plenty of public spots designed to help you soak up the sun. Travel magazines routinely rate Clearwater Beach at the top of their must-visit lists, and one peek at the area clearly explains why not only is this destination gorgeous as all get out, but it’s also packed with cheap things to do. Spend the morning basking in the picturesque scenery, explore the exhibits at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and then browse the shops and restaurants along the Beach Walk’s sun-drenched promenade. You might even track down a few Clearwater deals and discounts on kayaking, parasailing, and jet-skiing adventures. It’s a great way to catch some water-based thrills without breaking the bank. For a slightly more remote journey, travel to Clearwater areas like Sand Key Park. Equal parts sandy beach and sprawling green space, this secluded spot offers a little something for everyone. Stroll the boardwalk, unwind on the beach, or hike through the nature trails to sneak a peek at some local wildlife. Kids will love the park’s playground, and parents will adore putting together a family barbecue near the on-site grills. Of course, there’s more to Clearwater than magazine-worthy vistas. When you’re ready to head for dry land, venture out to the bustling downtown neighborhood to explore its combination of beach-town charm and big-city culture. The Cleveland Street District is filled with art galleries and restaurants, and the Harbor Marina regularly hosts waterfront events. Plus, if you visit between September and May, you’ll be able to take part in the much-loved Blast Friday events. This vibrant street fair takes place on the first Friday of every month, and it offers an incredible opportunity to see the city in action.

It was an amazing beach where you can walk forever. The Gulfview Hotel on the Beach is a little gem in a great location. The Hotel could use a few updates but it was perfect for our short stay.
