The main windows in the living area totally open up (and have fly screen) so you can sit at the counter and look out into the bush. « The cottage was an absolute delight. Everything imaginable was provided. Very clean, well organised and generous in space. Cooking (and BBQ) facilities excellent. Clothes washer and dryer and iron available. Delightful decor and very comfortable. On the fringe of Leura close to nature, but only a short drive to the shops, restaurants and train station. Not far from the walks and view lookouts. Hosts Kim and Ian were very helpful. »

« We have never stayed in Hartley before and I wasn’t sure if the the York was too far from shops food takeaway etc .We then found the shops which wasn’t too bad and went to he red rooster which was nice hot fresh .The house was so big and nice we all loved the views plenty to do we didn’t want to leave we all miss it already the space the views and the privacy 10/10 thanks we all enjoyed our break away »

« We spent the most magical family Christmas at this beautiful house this year. The house was perfectly styled and appointed (including the most gorgeous Christmas tree). The whole family, including our pugalier, enjoyed every aspect of the house, including the beautiful garden (great for cricket), the pizza oven and the super comfortable beds. Carol was an exceptionally helpful and generous host and we can’t wait to return! »

« Very nicely decorated and maintained quiet little property in rural Megalong. The property was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. However, some of the photos on the listing are not up to date as there is no take with a deck and chairs to sit by. Also a lot of the view is hindered by trees. Overall a nice place. »

« Seule la vue et le petit déjeuner valent le coup. Les chambres sont très petites (rentabilité oblige! Et vu que tout a été rénové ils auraient pu agrandir les chambres...), la clim fait un bruit toute la nuit de cliquetis vous empêchant de dormir, la salle de bain n'est pas très propre, les serviettes sont trouées, pas d'ascenseur pour vous rendre aux chambres dans un hotel qui se veut 4 étoiles, le bureau de la réception est un vulgaire comptoir de bar transformé pour l'occasion en "réception"....
