Great for a short stay, especially if you need a washing machine mid trip. The hotel has everything you could need, a shop a few doors up and plenty of cheap taxis just a few minutes wait away. Chongqing is a very hilly place (obviously) so be prepared to have to walk up lots of hills, the hotel is at the bottom of a hill near the river so unless You take a taxi, you’re pretty much going to encounter a hill to get to where you’re going. Would stay again

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has a pleasant scent. We booked the 1 bedroom executive and the room was very grand in size and impressive. The river and city view was spectacular. The bed & bedding was very comfortable to relax and sleep in. We had an issue with the laundry machine in our room and the staff were very quick to service us immediately and resolve the problem. Darcy went above and beyond for us and we are grateful for her. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the clean rooms and exceptional staff. The breakfast buffet offered Asian and western foods and was very delicious.

I regularly stay in the Somerset Chengdu and I came to Chongqing this year for the Lantern Festival. Somerset Yangtze River Chongqing did not disappoint. The rooms are a very high standard and the breakfast was excellent. I will definitely stay here again next time that I come to Chongqing.
