Once we had our suitcases on the floor, there was very little room to move around; there was hardly room at the foot of the bed and between the built in closet/ desk for me to walk past. "Our stay at Garden View Hotel was overall pleasant with a few things to consider. The room was surprisingly more spacious than we expected, which was a nice bonus. The private bathroom was appreciated, though the shower was very small—felt like being on a cruise! On top of that, the shower curtain wouldn’t stay in place, and water got everywhere, which was a bit annoying. Still, having a private bathroom at this price was a plus. Now, the elevator… OMG. "This hotel was great for the price. Clean with comfortable beds. There is a big Tesco close by and an underground station within 10 mins walk. I have been to London before and stayed more centrally and did not find this inconvenient. Did not find the hotel noisy at night, and it felt secure. "

"Nice place to stay local to the Hammersmith Apollo. Lots eateries and pubs nearby. Tube is a few minutes walk. Bed was comfortable but the room was very hot even though i turned down the thermostat. Though the hotel is good value, there was no complimentary water. That was sold at the desk for £1.50. Also selling over priced confectionery. The room had a few stains on the couch and floor. The towels are very small and no hand towels offered. Otherwise a good stay and would stay again. "

"Traditional, expensive hotel opposite the V&A. Nothing special, a bit of a conveyor belt for elderly American tourists. Clean, tidy and comfortable, with a vast selection of plastic plants. You pay mainly for the location. Extra charge of £15, for the leisure centre. Jacuzzi was out of order, guests were not notified. You have to walk through the gym, in your swim wear, to get to the small pool. Pool can accommodate 3 at the most. Breakfast ok, but skip the porridge! Made with water! Like they...

Good Place to Stay near Paddington Station

"I was travelling alone and needed somewhere to stay in London, and the single shared bathroom room was perfect for my needs. Affordable, clean (and cleaned daily), even the shared bathroom (though small) was kept in good condition and cleaned daily, including supplying fresh towels. The room I stayed in was good-sized for a single-traveller room with an excellent view of the garden square out front. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's just around the corner from Paddington Station with plenty of transport and restaurants around so the location is very convenient. Nothing bad to say about my stay. You can often hear (and feel, just a little bit) the trains but I'm used to that so it wasn't a concern personally, and it wouldn't wake anyone who wasn't a very light sleeper. I don't recommend the place for very light sleepers anyway because it's a very noisy area at all times, but that's not the fault of the hotel and would probably apply to any hotel in that part of the city (or probably any city). It didn't bother me during my stay as I was able to sleep very well. Not a luxury or resort experience but I didn't expect it would be. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a good place to sleep during a stay in London. Thank you to St Davids Hotel."

A lovely hotel.

"We selected the st giles due to it its great location and accses to london. We were happy with the room which was small and basic but clean, tidy and well styled. And was mor than enough as a base to explore london. Tue breakfast was of good quality, and the staff were very freindly and attentive. The concierge service was a good addition, with the ability to leave bags and explore more on our final day before heading off. "
