No matter the time of year, Peak 8 Village Getaway Condo is in a perfect location! In the winter, you can walk Gold Run Nordic Center for some cross-country skiing or take the ski shuttle to the base of Peak 8 at Breckenridge Ski Resort. In the summer, hop on your bike or lace up your hiking boots and hit the miles of great trails right outside your door, including the popular Peaks Trail. Your group will thank you for booking the perfect base camp for your mountain adventures!

Peak 8 Getaway Condo is a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo that can accommodate groups of up to eight. The living area is spacious with comfortable furnishings and a large flat-screen TV. Snuggle up after a long day playing in the snow next to the wood fireplace that helps to tie the entire Colorado high-country experience together. The kitchen features updated stainless-steel appliances and is fully stocked with all the gear you’ll need to whip up a great mountain meal. There is room for everyone to enjoy a meal at the kitchen counter, which doubles as a dining room table with seating for 8 people.

There’s a balcony just off the living area where you can relax and enjoy the cool mountain air. There’s even a gas barbeque grill for grilling some steaks or burgers! Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi and basic toiletries. Great location, property has some work
Overall, our experience with the property managed by Summit Mountain Rentals through VRBO was mixed. While the management team was extremely attentive and responsive to our concerns, the property itself left much to be desired. One of the major issues we encountered was with the outdated bathroom, which could pose a significant challenge for the advertised capacity of accommodating eight adults. Additionally, the kitchen equipment was mismatched and in need of updating, requiring us to request new pans and deal with a malfunctioning oven that was substituted with a toaster oven, which was not ideal. On a positive note, the bedrooms were satisfactory, and the property's location on the shuttle route was convenient. Furthermore, the interior decor was appealing, providing a pleasant atmosphere during our stay. However, for a prolonged stay, improvements beyond sleeping arrangements and location would be necessary to enhance the overall guest experience. With some updates and attention to detail, this property has the potential to provide a very enjoyable stay for future guests.

We liked that the property was on the shuttle route. The master room bed was comfortable. Could use some more lighting in the kitchen. We did get splinters from the cedar walls, so be careful.

Great location right next to the Nordic XC Ski area as you can walk to it. Great location as shuttle to Breckenridge downhill skiing is just outside the condo OR if able- you can walk to Peak 8 in your ski boots with skis/poles. Temperature control in unit is difficult as there is coolness from the windows and bedrooms get very warm at night unless you leave door open and set thermostat at 60-62 degrees. Very nice to enjoy a fire in the wood burning fireplace… you must buy your own wood at the grocery store. We would stay here again!

Pros: location, location, location! 10 minute walk to peak 8 lifts or take the FREE bus, which stops just outside the condo. Lots of room to spread out for a family of 4. All newer appliances, lots of dishes, pots, pans, etc. Came with towels, sheets, enough soap for all sinks, spices in kitchen Cons: slider blinds broken, called the rental company, no one came to fix them - people on the road could see directly into the condo until my husband finally repaired some of them himself, condo was dirty upon check in, food and wrappers on the floor, called rental company, they did send out housekeeping again. No place to unpack suitcases - as in no dressers, etc just one large counter in each room. Bathroom was dated, knob fell off hot water control in shower, water randomly turned cold, needs some TLC with caulk, etc. Master bedroom bed is too large for the room, you kick the frame trying to enter/exit the bedroom. Bed is broken, broken cardboard under bed was supposed to be holding up mattress, thus bed was way too soft. Wicker chair in master bedroom shredding, leaves slivers in butt if you sit on it. Wooden condo walls leaves slivers in clothes if you lean against them. The place was functional, but we won't stay in this unit again.

This property has a great location for Peak 8 skiing, it’s right next to the last pickup and the first drop off of the Black Line of the public bus. The property is very dated and could use some renovations, particularly the one bathroom. Not sure why anyone would leave carpet in a ski cabin. The kitchen is well stocked with nice appliances. The property managers do not do a good job of keeping the ice and snow cleared from the parking areas and walk ways. When they say 4x4 vehicles are required they are not exaggerating. The last complaint is that the garbage depository is quite a ways away from the unit, especially since the walkways are not well cleared of ice and snow. Overall the unit is well priced, but would like to see some updating to the property, particularly in the bathroom.

Perfect for our family with 4 kids
This place is remarkably set up for a couple with kids. The living area was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and was easy to prepare breakfast for 6 each morning. The back bedroom provided nice privacy for anyone needing a break from the family. I was a bit nervous having only one bathroom, but the toilet and shower are in their own (tiny) room and then there are two sinks/ vanities. One thing that was surprisingly nice to have was the long hallway full of pegs. We hung up bags, towels, coats, etc and it helped keep the rest of the place tidy. Speaking of towels, they were generously provided and nice and thick. And the provided hair dryer is decent. I also really appreciated that the were several clean humidifiers we could use. The mountain air can really dry you out! Another reviewer mentioned the heat in the bedrooms. No one slept well our first night because it was so hot. The rest of the weekend we set the thermostat at 60, and we were fine. If you do get cold (which I can't imagine) there are plenty of extra blankets in the closet. Bed are comfy. Overall we really enjoyed staying here. It's not fancy, but it was very clean and comfortable and very than we were expecting, especially for the price.

The property managers were not easy to get in touch with when we had to leave early. We had insurance on our stay and have yet to receive a refund for our last day. Insurance was through Expedia but was told they needed approval from the property managers to refund and neither have been in touch to see if it was taken care of. Probably not going to recommend staying here if there's a chance you would have to cut your stay short. The property itself was very nice, a too little warm during the summer time but otherwise it was nice.
