"We had a nice short stop in Skaftafell. We arrived after 8PM and left by 830AM the next morning, but the hotel had everything we needed. They served a nice breakfast (we did not have dinner as we stopped in the prior town for dinner). The people at check-in were very friendly and had good advice on the trail right out the back up to the glaciers where you could go for a morning hike/run to see the glacier up close. "

"The location near Vestrahorn mountain was great - the night we stayed, the sky was clear and we got fantastic views of the northern lights. The stay included free entry to the Viking Village and Stokksnes black sand beach (which was one of the nicer beaches we saw on our trip). The room was simple and not huge, but it was very new and clean. It was perfect for our needs. A simple breakfast at the café was included with the room, but we opted to also get the waffles and they were terrific. "
