"This is a unique and beautiful property and a quiet, relaxing getaway. The view from the Penthouse is amazing. Besides the duvet blanket the room and kitchen area was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and made especially for us to fit our dietary needs. We had some trouble with the shower, tub and motorized blinds but it wasn't a huge deal. "

Beatonridge Guest House

3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (124)
"This was the most disappointing stay during our first visit to the east coast. Thankfully it was right at the start of our trip and every other stay was excellent. Shower stall in the entry was awful. Musty smell throught "suite" was overpowering. Blinds not able to stay pulled down when we opened all the windows to air the place out meant anyone could look in from the main street. Bedroom window faces the front entryway to the rest of the house so there could be no privacy with non working...

Private stay at Halifax (Private entrance)

8.0 out of 10, Very good, (3)
"I wasn't going to be in the room to much, so I didn't require much. The room was basic hotel style with private access, a bed, fridge, microwave, drip-coffee maker, toaster, mini-fridge, TV (assuming with a Roku or similar, but I didn't use it), WiFi access, towels / soaps included, and an oscillating fan as there is no air conditioning. The room was clean, but I found some some long hairs present in the bathroom (not mine), but didn't bother me at all. Decent stay, low noise and comfortable."

3.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (263)
"We stayed for 4 nights at the end of March. Location was excellent, easy to walk downtown to harbour, restaurants, museums and bus stop right outside. 3 bedrooms were great for the 4 of us. Easy check in and used the luggage storage. Kitchen was convenient for breakfast - we went to the No Frills in Woodside on the ferry for some groceries. Honestly, hard to find anything to complain about …. Need some hooks in the bathroom for towels and a teapot! There was noise on the Thursday evening from...
