Explore the different landscapes and wildlife of North America in this park, which houses big cats, bears and birds of prey.

Zoo America North American Wildlife Park celebrates the stunning diversity of nature in the U.S. Wander through the 11-acre (44,500-square kilometer) park to view animals from the nation’s highest mountain ranges and its hottest deserts. Swamps and forests are recreated to make over 200 animals feel at home in this educational and entertaining attraction.

Explore the different climates of North America to see the range of animals that live there. Head to the Southern Swamps to come face to face with alligators, rattlesnakes and snapping turtles. Peer between the trees of the Eastern Woodlands enclosures for sightings of black bears and bobcats.

Big Sky Country, an area devoted to animals from the western area of North America that is home to the Rocky Mountains, houses elks and mountain lions. Watch bald eagles, the iconic symbol of America, soar through the skies and glimpse the rare ocelot among many other creatures on display in the zoo. Pick up a map at the entrance and follow the recommended route around the park, in order to make sure you don’t miss any of the animals.

Learn more about the creatures at one of the events that run each day throughout the park. Join a guided tour led by one of the zoo’s experts. Book ahead and choose one of five different types of tours, among them one that focuses on endangered species and another that looks at the relationships between different species. Head to the Education Room for live demonstrations and talks on specific creatures.

Shadow a zookeeper for the day to see how the animals are cared for. Visitors aged 13 and upward can follow a naturalist as they feed the animals and clean their enclosures, for a close-up look at how the animals live.

Purchase tickets to Zoo America separately or as part of entry to Hersheypark. On-site parking is available for those driving to the zoo. For those coming on foot, it is just a 5-minute walk from other attractions such as the Hershey Story Museum and the Hershey Theatre.
