"Hotel Irma was friendly and accommodating . We started on the 6th floor, view was AMAZING! It should be noted that there is no elevator, therefore a lot of stairs! Room 603 had a constant pump kicking on an off, so we requested a room change and they obliged right away and went to the 3rd floor. Pools are amazing and a necessity. Food at this place was amazing. Try the Avocado/tuna dish. Lots of decks with lounge chairs for quiet areas, if you just want to stare at the view or read a book. Staff = amazing. Margarita's = amazing. Happy Hour 12-2pm & 5-7pm. Perfect meal time sipping :) Owner was onsite and very hands on and concerned about her guests and staff, nice to see that! Taxis usually always parked outside to get you up and down the hill to town, if you're unable to climb it. Beaches are clean and water was swimmable. Would definitely stay here again! "

"We were ecstatic to be checked into a lovely beachfront/poolside room that was spotless. We were steps to the beach that we walked several times a day and the lovely pool was refreshing. There was an outdoor shower and footpaths to wash off sand. There was a safe in the room and TV that had US stations so we could relax and watch TV in the evening as most things close at 9:00pm Patys & Triton restaurants are excellent!! There are no fridges in the room so we bought 1/2 bag ice from the bar 2 x a day for 25 Pesos and filled up garbage can to keep our drinks cold we bought off property. There is a little market to the right of entrance to buy beer/ wine etc or you can shop cheaper in town with a 13 Peso Combi ride up the hill or taxi for 100 peso ($7cad) Sorianna or Chedraui grocery stores. Down to the beach to left Friday Saturday has live band to dance from 5-8pm at Rosseys on the beach and great food! El Parata also has music and good food ( coconut shrimp) La Perla and Arenas is good and have entertainment. Take a taxi $350 pesos to Playa Linda ferry and go to Ixtapa Island - Pamelita restaurant at end of beach for the day you get food/drinks loungers and table and chairs for the day. LA Ropa Beach is AMAZING! I would definitely stay at Villa Mexicana again!!! Recommendation for restaurant would be to have taller plastic glasses and drink specials so people spend more money there. Also dim the lights on the large bright crystal chandeliers it is blinding. "

"Had a bad experience in the restaurant with the waiter. Did not make us feel welcome at all and we heard him talking to the bartender saying we were Americans. Didnt let us sit where we wanted and it WAS NOT busy at all. Also didnt have tonic water for our drinks which was on the menu. Other than that experirnce, it was excellent. "

"This was our second visit to Aura Del Mar; the first visit was when it was named Brisas Del Mar in 2010. This property has kept all the charm that we feel in love with back in 2010 and has made some incredible additions since. The pool deck over looking the ocean was peaceful and gave you a beautiful 360• view. The landscaping is gorgeous and tended to. The onsite spa has been updated and is lovely. Coffee machines in every room with fresh ground coffee provided. Turn down service at night. Cold A/C Friendly staff Abel is on the top deck serving happy hour and a gorgeous view of the sunset. The beach / pool towels they provide are adorable. This hotel is a gem. "
