Yosemite West is extremely peaceful and quiet even during the big holiday weekends. You can save lots of money by preparing your own meals in the spacious and fully equipped kitchen while enjoying the sunset on the edge of the wilderness. Note this is a duplex and the owner/groundskeeper lives in the separated (100% firewall) unit below and to the right.

The location is excellent providing easy access to Glacier Point road, Yosemite Valley, and Mariposa Grove. The accomodations are just as advertised in the listing. Bed linens and bath towels were freshly laundered. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking.

Great location with in the park limits. Beautiful view from the deck. We enjoyed the collection of dvd’s to relax and watch a movie after a long day of hiking. William was very helpful with information about the Yosemite post office that we needed.

Perfect home base for Yosemite
I stayed here with my wife and our infant son for a 4-day trip to Yosemite. You can anywhere in the valley within about 30 minutes, and this house is also nicely situated to visit Glacier Point, Wawona, or the Mariposa Grove. The house is 2 levels, with the kitchen, living room, 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom on the top level, and 2 more bedrooms and another bathroom on the lower level. It's nicely laid our to give everyone some room to roam, and the views from the deck are beautiful. The space was clean, well equipped, and well maintained. Highly recommended!

We were happy to return to this lovely, comfortable home after a day of hiking. Owner made effort to meet us on arrival and tell us how to easily reach him. Great for 2 couples. Had everything we needed. Will be even better after knives are sharpened.

Clean, comfortable, more movies than Blockbuster
This is a great property, The Host was friendly and welcoming. The layout is a 3 story house and you have the 2 top floors. There is no common entry or walls, its truly like renting a full house. Clean, great views, great location for visiting Yosemite as its inside the park itself. Oh yeah a video collection better than any I have seen great for relaxing and watching a movie before bed.

Lovely house convenient to Yosemite Valley
This is a well laid out house in the Yosemite West area. Upstairs is a large kitchen/dining/living area with one bedroom and a bath. Downstairs are two bedrooms and a bath. The kitchen is clean and well stocked (though bring a meat thermometer if you are planning on using the barbeque). The owner provided information beforehand so checkin and out was seamless. We would definitely return if visiting Yosemite again.

Quiet, private and comfy!
The house was in a nice part of Yosemite West and was well equipped. We cooked great meals and enjoyed the VAST library of DVDs after dark when we weren't enjoying Yosemite. Yosemite Village was 30 minutes away, as was Sentinel Dome and Glacier Point. The location was so convenient! There was nothing egregious, but the cleaners could do a better job on the floors and carpets as it doesn't look like the areas under the couch and beds have been touched for some time. Special thanks to Bill who was always responsive and helpedn us out a lot while we were there!

Wonderful Experience
The property and Bill the owner were excellent. The cabin was as advertised. It was clean and well maintained. Bill was very helpful to us and even provided additional equipment and advice for our trip. Some recommended adds for the future would be a steamer cauldron and an upgraded grill. Even without these amenities, the stay was a great experience. I have already recommended this property to some of my friends and colleagues.
