"We were made very welcome by the owner, Marie. The property is beautifully decorated, our room was spacious and very well equipped and there's a lounge area too. Breakfast was amazing - fruit salad, yoghurt, selection of cheeses , homemade breads and pastries and preserves, and fruit juice using produce from the farm with different delicious dishes every morning: we have never had such an excellent breakfast. "Aux Herbes Hautes is located in a beautiful place, just by the bord of Pas-de-Calais, but not far from Lille and some of the busy parts of the Nord department of France. "We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived even though the owners had not realized we had booked. They did their best to get the room ready quickly. They provided us with an evening meal and a complimentary drink. The guesthouse is lovely and very freshly modern. Breakfast was great and had a lovely selection of foods. The room was very warm, however, even with windows open. Noise from the road traffic may put off light sleepers but this is not the fault of the owners."
