Beautiful place to take a break, in solitude,...fish, swim, no neighbors next door. Kayak rentals nearby. Just sit on the dock and enjoy the river, the view across the way, stars at night. Enjoy our peaceful woodland cabin in the heart of the Tennessee River Gorge with beautiful views of the river and gorge...Sit by the fire pit and watch the sunset roasting marshmallows or hot dogs...watch the barges, kayaks, and boats go by...or geese, waterfowl, and wildlife. After cooking out on grill...dine out on the spacious screened in porch overlooking the river. Gather together in the evening and play games or cuddling up next to the fire with a book and/or loved one. This is a restful place surrounded by nature with all its beauty. Kayak the river or hike nature trails to the Prentice Cooper State Forest (part of the Cumberland Plateau). Enjoy all this within 30 minutes of downtown Chattanooga to explore. Our 3 bedroom/3 bath (with bunk room and loft) will sleep 10...accommodating family get togethers. We welcome families, children, and pets (although need to be aware it is on the river- so safety for children and pets important). We enjoyed the fire pit, firewood was supplied!The driveway was a bit steep as someone else stated, but we made it and we were in a Murano SUV. The beds were comfortable and the loft and basement had their own AC units. So everyone was comfortable there. It is a long winding road to get to the cabin, from either direction you come in. So just get up in the morning and go on your excursions, and pick up food on way home for dinner! They have a gas grill with lots of propane refills. I guess my only complaint would be the towels, we had to wash those every day, but they do have a washer and dryer and supply detergent. I would definitely stay here again! Enjoy. ##### Cheryl W. Again I didn’t mind great for fishing but I was not jumping in. Not sure if this is seasonal, or what. 3- kids futon was squeaky, older son chose to sleep in loft, and lastly I could have used a couple more pots and pans but I was cooking for 7 and made due so not huge. The cabin offered everything needed for our stay and the best thing were the sights and sounds of nature. The location was perfect close enough to some of the tourist spots, but far enough for the quiet we were looking for. Our host was easy to contact and recommended several points of interest in the area. Looking forward to book again and highly recommend the area and cabin. ##### Rick C. Stayed with a group of old friends plus our children for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time! The location provides the opportunity to split your time between the city and the country and truly get the best of both worlds.I have never had more attentive hosts than we did here -- so helpful and available. The cabin itself is clean and beautifully furnished. We got rained out during much of our stay, but still found time to sit outside to take in the view and watch deer, turkeys, and a pair of bald eagles. We would love to come back in warmer weather so we can take advantage of the water as well!You won't regret booking this gem! ##### Tana L.
