"From booking through to exiting the batch, everything went like clockwork. The shower had such good pressure, the two toilets was a great idea. We sat on the front deck during the day when the sun was out and ventured round the back deck after dinner with the gas burner going outside, with the fairy lights and toast marsh mellows too. "We had an amazing Easter break at Sandy Bay, the house is ideal for a group with 2 entirely separate areas, and all amenities included. We surfed and swam every day. The location is 10/10 being directly opposite the beach - you can hear the waves crashing at night and the view is magnificent. It is quiet, private and roomy. We would love to return soon. "Lovely bach, excellent location. Would love to make a suggestion to have some pedestal fans available to use at night for sleeping, it’s such a nice warm bach but unbearable for sleep…….we wished we’d brought our own fans. Also Bachcare sent us the wrong lockbox code but we’re lucky they answered the phone with the first call and rectified the problem. Thankyou to the owners for renting out their home so people like us can have a summer holiday at the best location!!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. It had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. It was clean and tidy with easy access to Matapouri Beach, Whale Bay and the local dairy. It was well equipped with activities and board games for entertaining the teenagers on rainy days, and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out, both indoors and outdoors. "Nice big house in a quiet gated community suitable for a family stay. Short drive or walk to the beach. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms and big fridge. The house is great though the outdoor furniture was rather rough and the lack of shade (broken umbrella) on the large deck meant we couldn’t sit outside during the day. The couches could do with a clean as well, they were quite stained and dirty. The house could do with some more glassware too."
