"I was in town for a conference at the Westin nearby, but the cost of hotel rooms there was much too high, so I stayed a mere half a block away at the Chancellor and had a good place to stay that was quiet, safe, and impeccably clean. The tub was deep, the water was hot, and it was a good place to lay my head. The lack of air conditioning was not an issue given the cool air of spring and the windows opened sufficiently to allow a lovely bit of cooling along with the ceiling fan. No complaints. "

"Staff were helpful, kind and polite. Loved my beautiful room and view. The whiskey old fashioned at the bar was amazing, definitely hit them up in The Post Room. The people hanging around in the neighborhood surrounding the hotel aren’t the most safe but it was ok walking around. Convenient stores and delivery too."

"Central location, proximity to various places of interest, convenient access to public transportation. The property is old, but everything seems to work. The little fridge in the room was too loud, I had to unplug it. The staff were great: friendly, competent, and helpful. Wi-Fi got slow to the point of being virtually off at night but was great during the day. Overall good if not excellent. "
