Great central base for a few days stay in Wellington, easy walking distance to many great restaurants, shops and Te Papa. Petite Queen studio had everything I needed and plenty of space for a solo traveller. My 8th floor room was quiet with a great view (once I figured out how to operate the window shade) although it was annoying that the aircon/heat seemed to be centraly controlled. Stay could have been improved by providing some info in the room on the hotel facilities and basic guidance on things like how to operate the AC and window shades (not obvious in either case!), and ensuring my room was ready at check-in time (I had to wait half an hour for housekeeping to be done and communication from the front desk staff in that time could have been better). But these were fairly minor annoyances and overall this was a good value for money stay in a great location.

It was our first time staying at this property. Room was small but it didnt matter much after a day , as it was so comfortable, so close to cafes and restaurants which was a bonus . Staff was super helpful and friendly. Definitely coming back here . Highly recommended.

Positives: Rooms are clean and nicely finished Kitchens are well equipped Staff are friendly and welcoming Room rate was low and would happily stay again Close to shops, bars and restaurants Negatives: We had a support beam through the middle of our room (see photo). We were there for 32 hours so we didn’t mind too much but if you are here for longer ask to change rooms as it gets annoying. There are steps up to the front door. Not sure about disabled access but they will send someone down to help with bags. Multi-story car park is across the street and not easy to drive around and not easy to get to with suitcases.

We were travelling with two small children so I was worried that we would feel squished, especially once the portacot was up. But that wasn't the case at all, we had plenty of room, the beds were super comfortable and it was a well set up space. Little things like nespresso machine and milk frother were great! (The kids loved that we could make them fluffies at breakfast) The location is spot on, we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to do (or at least walking distance to a bus) and even though we were central, we didn't have any problems getting to sleep due to noise at night (and we stayed over a weekend). The staff were very welcoming and helpful, we would definitely stay here again!
