"We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this beautifully restored 257 year old farmhouse. The location was peaceful and private — truly an unexpected gem within minutes of the center of New Hampshire’s capital city. During our stay we experienced two snowstorms and we were grateful for our host’s balance of respecting our privacy while also ensuring us safe access in and out of the snowy property. We can’t wait to return in June and again in September! "

"We recently stayed at this property for Thanksgiving with nine adults, two children, and two well-behaved dogs, and had a memorable experience overall. The home is set in a stunning location with a beautiful yard, lake, and deck space that we thoroughly enjoyed. "Beautiful leaves in reds, oranges, and yellows reflected in a gorgeous pond with a pair of loons slowly floating by....Perfection! What a gorgeous location! We had a great stay- the kitchen was wonderful to cook in- we loved the gas stove- bacon tasted so delicious with croissants in the morning! "Fairly new house on the pond. Little sand beach. Canoe, paddle board and kayaks (need new/more paddles). Spacious. Large, well appointed and supplied modern kitchen. Nice master suite. Only one bathroom on ground floor for 3 bedrooms. Plenty of bench seating on deck facing lake, but could use use some chairs with cushions. "

"The charming home is very remote and private. Updated kitchen and bathroom providing all amenities you could want. Comfortable beds, but master is very tall. Although the living area futon seating provides extra sleeping options, they are not the most comfortable for sitting/lounging. A softer chair or two would be welcome. Lovely deck for lake watching. "Very clean, brand-new renovation. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Bed and pull out couches are very comfortable. The owner is very kind and easy to talk to, he lives in another house on the property, which gave us both peace of mind and lots of privacy."

"My adult family spent another great week at Birch Cabin. Everything we needed was right there and we were able to enjoy a relaxing week. The addition of air conditioners in all the bedrooms was a nice bonus this year. Everyone slept comfortably. We never get around to making the s'mores that Tom leaves for us but we do enjoy the individual parts, chocolate and the fudge stripe cookies he provided this year. We brought our boat and jet ski again this year and was able to tie up both to the...
