"Went to relax and celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been to Elbow Lake several times and knew what to expect. The cabin is "no frills" but that is part of the experience. It is right on the lakeshore with a deck literally a few feet from the water. The lake is quiet with very few boats making it easy to hear the frequent loon calls. It's a good kayak / canoe lake with a beautiful sand beach in front of the lodge for swimming. The on-site manger and his family are there for whatever you need....

"John and Carol are wonderful hosts. It really reminds me of going up for family vacations in the 80's and 90's. Very laid back and helpful if any questions or needs arise. Beautiful Lodge and grounds. Great access to boat slips and great boat launch. Our cabin (daybreak) was literally right over the water. Woke up to waves lapping every morning. Lots for the kids to do and fishing is bar none"

"Need some repairs and improvements: Outside: the deck has boards raised above the deck more than a quarter inch. Weeds growing through the steps and others should be trimmed out. some black mold on the deck chairs. Inside was very nice, but faucet in the kitchen need repair- hard to shut off completely. The stairway to basement had no railing which surprised us. Its a good comfortable property, but could an excellent property. We did enjoy it! Thank you"

"Reggie’s retreat was an amazing place to stay. The dog friendly touches like water bowls and poo bags were very much appreciated. Hiking trail in walking distance and close to Lake Vermilion where we fished a couple days. The rooms were pristine and the kitchen was great. Would highly recommend!"

"This place was absolutely beautiful. Nice quiet getaway with a beautiful view. I would recommend bringing bottled water and there is no ac. Mitch was great about communicating and answering questions timely. Billy and his staff were amazing as well. Always making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay amazing. "

This was convenient to getting to the southeastern side of Voyageurs National Park. The room was adequately comfortable and felt clean.
