"It was a very different bed and breakfast experience. Did not ever meet or talk to the host. Instructions were wrote on a board as we came in. Room was big and clean. Nice views of the countryside. Continental breakfast at anytime. The hot tub was awesome. Only downside was we needed to carry our bags to the furthest room in the rain and right next to a highway so traffic noise all night"

"One of the best stays I have ever had. Got to enjoy a beautiful view of the mountain ranges near Te Kuiti whilest enjoying our time in the spa pool. The sun set from the spa was spectacular. We got a private room (ensuite) with many complimentary snacks. Will definitely visit there again. To relax and unwind. Highly recommended. "

"Beautiful location, grounds and cabin. So close to glow worm caves and have their own little glow worm grotto on the property. Only a 60 second walk from the cabins. Also close to a waterfall and black sand beach. Angus was such a gracious host who made sure we had everything we needed including toast jams and coffee. "This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated.
