Rarely found 1.35 streamside acre property. Like an oasis in the city. Waterfall and stream around the property. 10 minutes drive to Butchart garden, 15 minutes drive to downtown, 20 minutes drive to ferry and airport. Royal Oak Plaza and Broadmead shopping center in the neighborhood. Walking distance to Beaver/ Elk lake, Saanich Commonwealth Place. Many bus lines in a few minutes walk. This is a private house with 7 bedrooms 4 bathrooms that accommodate up to 12 people comfortably.

Truly an Urban Oasis
This is truly an urban oasis - close to all the amenities of Victoria but feels like being in the country. My daughter-in-law, an Israeli, commented that in Israel this place would be a nature reserve and people would be charged admission to visit it. It is also close to Elk Lake which is a natural treasure. After having some problems with the dishwasher, the landlord sent a repairman who quickly resolved the problem. The house itself has numerous bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate large numbers of people. I would rent it again.

Nice location
The house is excellent for a big family, plenty of space for all. However the house is a bit run down and the stream, which is advertised and was one of the main reasons to book the house, was not accesible. A big disappointing for my grandkids

Lots of room, but needs upkeep
There were enough rooms to accommodate our family of 4 couples and 6 children ages 7 years and younger. The master suite was very nice and the bed comfortable. We found the griddle on the gas stove very useful and the large fridge/freezer was great. The location is good, close to Elk Lake parks, etc. However, for a house that could accommodate that number of people, the kitchen seemed ill equipped; not enough glasses or cutlery for all of us and mismatched different sized plates/dishes. The decor was nice and modern, but not maintained well - loose handles in fridge/freezer, all cupboards and drawers; broken drawers in bathroom; a toilet that wouldn't flush properly (until we adjusted it); over half of the window screens are missing, which was unfortunate due to the hot weather we had at the time (no fans to cool the rooms); etc. Our expectation due to the online pictures of the "urban oasis", was shattered and replaced with shock as we drove into the driveway. Everything was completely dead, overgrown and neglected. The road is a very busy one, and we had to prune back brush around the driveway in order to safely see cars coming. The house and property has great potential, but we expected more for the price we paid and would likely not be repeat guests.

Urban Oasis
There were knee high weeds and grass surrounding property. Lovely waterfall but couldn’t sit in backyard due to overgrowth. House was not very clean. Random chairs up against walls. Holes in walls. It could b a great house but needs a lot of attention. I think the pix online were taken at least 5 years ago.

Lovely home
We were a family of 14 (5 couples and 3 single adults and 1 2year old) there were 7 bedrooms so even the 2 year old could be in a bedroom by himself. Very spacious. In the back yard is a stream with a beautiful waterfall. It suited our family really well.

Great place and very accommodating for a large group of any kind! we very much enjoyed this place!
the communication was very prompt when our group needed to ask a question. the entire experience and we had was great! I would stay again anytime. The property was a real bonus to explore also!
