The neighborhood is great, and most of the other houses have been renovated over the years. This place could use some work. It is older and appears to have been well loved by a few generations. The photos are fairly accurate… It’s nostalgic and homey. The driveway is nonexistent and a large fig tree almost blocks the view of the cottage from the road. Without a picture of the exterior on the listing, I thought it was a storage building at first. Antique furniture, antique stove, old carpet, but new fridge and microwave. Most things are very dated. A/C worked great, kept the house cool. It was preprogrammed to go up to 80 degrees, so I did have to keep adjusting it until the last day, then it seemed to stay at a normal temp. It served us well enough for a few days at the lake, but I definitely prefer something more modern. I’m disappointed in myself for paying the premium price I paid (holiday rates, I guess). This place would be good for a guys fishing trip or bachelor party weekend.
