This cottage is an excellent place to escape the hustle and bustle for a quiet weekend away. The surrounding area has plenty to entertain you including wineries, golf courses, cycle trail and not forgetting the beach and lake just a stones throw away.

The cottage is well-equipped 3 bedroom with 2 bathrooms, a sun room and a spacious garden overlooking Lake Erie. There is easy access to the main beach just 1 min walk away.

The downstairs of the cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge, bathroom and a spacious and light sunroom. Upstairs there is a master bedroom overlooking the lake and two other double bedrooms, and a second bathroom. All bedrooms have queen beds and ceiling fans. In addition to the 3 queen beds, the down stairs sofa pulls out to make a double bed.

The spacious garden gives you uninterrupted views of the lake.

North Lake Erie getaway
7 of us comfortably fit in this home on a beautiful lakefront property. Beach was a <5 minute walk. Wineries close by. The place was well equipped. The only suggestions would be to add more spices besides salt and pepper, and offer some shampoo/conditioner. Would definitely book again!

Colchester Getaway
A perfect summer getaway for my family! Reviews and listings were on target. Everything you would expect to enjoy the comforts of a home. Beautiful house in a beautiful location
The house is gorgeous. Very clean. The view is amazing. A peaceful getaway with lots to do in the near vicinity. A few days away from the hustle and bustle of life was just what the doctor ordered. Three bunnies in the neighborhood were fun to watch too.

Lovely Property
We were there as a family with small children (aged 2 + 6) and having the playground, splash pad and large sandy beach next door was incredibly handy for us. House was well appointed with all the comforts of home, especially compared with many other cottages (e.g full municipal water access, a/c, natural gas BBQ). House was true to pictures. Views were amazing and the sunroom was so nice for a coffee and book.

Our MUCH needed girls getaway. The backyard bunnies, vintage swing set and inflatable rentals at our beach were unexpected, and really made for a wonderful weekend. The old house was charming and had all the amenities. Fell asleep listening to the waves. Would definitely return

Very nice cottage stay in excellent location!
The cottage was clean and spacious, with everything we needed such as linens, towels, etc. We were pleasantly surprised with how generously equipped the kitchen was with dishes and equipment! The sun room was our favorite spot with amazing views, and the outdoor seating provided lots of opportunities to enjoy the fresh air. Our favorite aspect was the location - a 2 minute walk from a park with a playground and splash pad for the young kids, and access to the beach. So convenient! Also we were very impressed with the communication with the host, she was so prompt on replying and provided all the info beforehand making our stay easier. Overall a great experience!

Great Cottage and Location
We loved our Stay, 3 couples for a weekend getaway after our golfing weekend to the United States fell through. The cottage was clean and we found it exactly as advertised. Some very interesting decorating through out this well maintained home. It is easy to tell that Cathy takes great pride in and care of this cottage. Lots to do in the nearby area, wineries, restaurants and antiques. Something for everyone. The beach looks so inviting, too bad it was Fall and the weather not suitable for the beach. We will have to return when the weather is better. We had a great time .... we will be back!

Great Little Gem!
We rented the house for a quick weekend getaway (adults and 2 kids under 10). The house is really nice and clean, kitchen is well stocked, view is phenomenal! Everyone had a great time and we all enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was. The only thing that tried to spoil the weekends were insects, so have bug spray handy. Lake is pretty, but not suitable for swimming (there was a warning about high bacteria level). Lake is perfect if you have a boat. Will keep the property in favorites! PS Respond time of the owner is great- quick and very efficient. Thank you!

Lovely Lakefront Escape
We are a team of coaches and stayed here while in town for a sporting event at the Libro Centre in April. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay by the water. The home is spacious and high ceilings make it even more roomy! The sunroom is the best! We played games at night and spent time every morning looking at the beautiful view of the lake with a coffee! The master bedroom has a sweet view of the lake too and the beds were comfortable. The 2 gas fireplaces add to the cosy feel in the home. The kitchen had everything we needed. Tte bathrooms were clean and adequate. The upstairs shower is super tiny but the downstairs one is more of a normal size. The hosts were great answering any questions and solving any issues we had. I would highly recommend staying here as an alternative to staying in a hotel in Windsor or as a little getaway for couples, friends or families. I hope this review is helpful. I would definitely stay again!

Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, listing accuracy
No beach access, other tenants on property (disruptive and rude)
Listing is completely fraudulent. "Easy beach access" includes a 3 foot drop off of a rusty step ladder onto wet slippery rocks. Completely unsafe and unusable. Luckily, there is a beach nearby so the entire trip wasn't ruined. House was messy and covered in bugs. We had to clean before we could even any of the outdoor furniture or kitchen. Host also didn't inform is until after we had passed our refundable date that there would be other tenants on the property. These tenants were loud and disruptive and rude. We also parked in the designated parking spots and our car was hit by something and caused major damage to the driver side door. Not sure what the host wanted us to do with the linens. As per her instruction we left all the linens in the laundry basket by the washer and dryer but now I'm getting additional cleaning fees for making them do "extra laundry". Overall a bad experience, save the effort and rent somewhere else.

Just what we were looking for
This house was perfect! Beautifully updated, with new and/or newly refinished wood flooring upstairs and downstairs, faucets, showers, and fresh paint. Each room retains its "Arts and Crafts" architectural charm, with beautiful wood trim. Both the living room and the master bedroom have gas fireplaces with remote-controlled thermostats (including hand-held remotes). We loved the enclosed sun-room at the back! Oh, and I appreciated the irony of the rotary phone on the telephone bench (gossip seat), right next to the wireless modem. :-) Outside, enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Erie, swing on the sturdy swing set (this reminds me of the one we had at my home in Kingsville 50 years ago!),and toast marshmallows around the new fire-pit in the evening. The entrance to Colchester Beach and a great splash pad are only two doors down, and there is an ice cream shop less than 10 mins walk away. Honestly, I can think of only two caveats: the mayflies (late May through end of June), and the fact that the air conditioner is only on the lower level. The mayflies can't be helped ... Lake Erie (both the Canadian side and the US side) is known for them, and they are completely harmless. The AC being only on the lower level is really only an issue if the outside temperature is really hot (upper 80's F / 29C), as there are excellent ceiling fans in all the upstairs bedrooms that do a great job of cooling the rooms. In addition, only about half of the homes in this area have AC at all. I was born in this area, and this trip was not only the first time I'd been back for 38 years, but also an opportunity to show my American-born daughters "my Canada." I'm so glad that they were able to play on the same beaches that I did, and experience the same things I did when I was even younger than they are now. Thank you, Cathy, for a wonderful experience (and the wine!) :-)

Girls Getaway Weekend
