The property is def an older one, it is well-kept with the nostalgia of the 80's. I was very happy to see the Christmas decorations as the surrounding areas had zero holiday decorations or sprit. Everyone was extremely courteous. Higher-end hotel staff should be as attentive. At night the hotel had odd sounds, typical creaks of an old building. Not so easy to fall asleep, and bring your own pillow if you are picky. Final thought, this hotel is quite reasonable so attracts a certain clientele that wants an easy place to stay. So you never know what you will "hear" in the hallways or elevator. Keep an open mind and closed ears. Won't bring my kids there but it's a great place for a mature nonpruding clientele. Had a good stay.
