The Orla is one of THE best places you can stay if you want to be near the beach. It is literally across from the famous Copacabana - you can walk there in a minute! Don't think you'll get a great view from your hotel window, however; there are a limited number of rooms overlooking the ocean, but the room we stayed in was still very nice, as was the hotel staff. Here's a tip - if you do stay there, which I highly recommend, get the breakfast option, because it's very good and a great way to start your day, and the waiters are very attentive and friendly.

An amazing property! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly! The check-in process was fast and uncomplicated. The room was very nice! The bed was comfortable, I slept like a baby. The rooms are clean with plenty of towels. The shower is hot. My one and only complaint is a small one. The electrical outlets only works when the room key is in the slot. I didn't realize this at first, so I left my phone to charge while I went to get breakfast, only to come back an hour later with a still almost dead phone. Not a huge deal, just keep that in mind. I did discover the bathroom outlets work regardless of the key. Other than that small little detail, everything else was perfect. The view from the rooftop pool is incredible! I highly recommend staying there. You are just minutes away from everything. The neighborhood is lively and walkable. I felt perfectly safe walking around even at night. Plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. I'll be sure to stay there again on my next visit to Copacabana.
