Beautiful hotel! Right on the beach. There is lots of construction in the area.

The property is beautiful and staff at the front office and restaurant or so helpful and nice. Especially Brandon and Ken! It’s a great visit for beautiful scenery of the mountains and time to relax. With a rental car, you’re not far from town.

My wife and I stayed here 5 nights here during mid-June (rainy season). Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Frozen drinks (Blue Hawaiian, Pina Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri, etc.) are really good. Great for those light drinkers. Everywhere outside of the resort was green. If you are a nature person in any, you will appreciate this. Just like all other inclusive resorts, they have multiple options for food and drinks (all free). Has a shuttle service from the resort to the airport (both public and private.) Private you can leave at anytime for $80 at this time (min. 2 people). Public shuttle is based off of your flight and is $18 per person (min. of 4.) If you don’t have 4, you can still schedule it, but you will have to cover the difference. Ex: if it’s only 2 of you traveling, you need to pay for the other 2. Still comes out cheaper than the private one. Rental car services on site. In walking distance to the other Riu (Guanstate I believe) and have access to it. Cons: food is ok. Scene dies down at about 1030-11. Beach is tolerable. Things seem overpriced there (such as massages.) Recommendations: Light drinkers and frozen drink lovers, get the blue Hawaiian at any bar. Look at excursions that are not affiliated with the hotel. We went on several with this one local company before we entered the beach area (not by the pools). ATV your was about 2 hrs and was my personal favorite. A lot of driving through water. Do a tour and plan to be gone all day. Hope this helps.

For such small number of guest on property, the staff moved very slow to complete orders. Although it’s all inclusive, there was limited options for food including time and menu options.
